On the last day of March Baby turned three. I can’t believe that three years have passed since I first held her in my arms. She is now a bright spark that was very keen to enjoy her birthday! We decided to head to the farm for a day of fun. Oh and obviously Baby wore a crown!

As usual I got a bit snap happy, so there are a LOT of pictures in the post. Whoops!

I love the confidence Baby has with animals, she always wants to cuddle them, which has to be discouraged when they have horns!

We were the first in the queue for the face painter and Baby opted for a beautiful rainbow and cloud. She was so pleased with it and she is making my face painting dreams come true!

We found this wonderful structure and Baby loved exploring it, it was hard to tear her away, so much so we might have to construct one in our garden for her to run around in.

If we allowed Baby to have any animal (apart from our dogs) I think she would pick guinea pigs, she is always so fascinated by them.

She was so thrilled that she got to stroke a baby chick for the second time in as many weeks and she got sticker too!

We had the most glorious weather, we were so lucky.

This little chap was super friendly and if I am honest I would of loved to bring him home with me!

We had a fabulous time, chasing after Baby as she soaked up everything her first day as a three year old had to offer.

We had bought Baby a wonderful Tinkerbelle bubble wand for her birthday and she was so excited to give it a whirl, such a cool idea.

No trip to the farm would be complete without a spot of animal petting. She loved her little furry friend and was so gentle with him.

I think she might have got a little on her face……

While we were playing in the playground we noticed that the display area was filling up, initially we thought it was sheep racing, but luckily for us it was a birds of prey demonstration.

The handler was showing us the owl, ‘Owlivia’, when he asked if any children had there birthday’s today. We pointed to Baby and he invited her to join the demo. For a little girl who is wary of men, she bravely followed him into the ring watched by the crowd.

He chatted to her and popped on the handler’s glove. I was half expecting her to start crying and run back to us, but she stayed with him, focused on what he was saying to her.

I was so proud when he called ‘Owlivia’ and it came to rest on her hand. She didn’t quite believe it was happening. She was holding an owl.

He finished the demo by flying the hawk, which was awesome to see.

We had such a wonderful family day and I think the owl will ensure it is a birthday she won’t forget in a hurry.

Wow Aby what an amazing day out. Baby looks like she’s having a whale of a time. She’s brave to hold that owl! I think that’s the best face painting I’ve ever seen! Happy birthday to your little one, I can’t believe our babies are 3! We must get them together sometime, much love Lizzie xo
