Capturing Beautiful Moments

Since Baby was born (21 months ago!) I have developed an obsession with photography.  I think I have probably taken more photo’s in the last 21 months, than I have in the rest of my life.  I am very lucky to have the perfect little model, who most of the time, doesn’t mind mummy thrusting a camera/phone in her face.

On days out, Mr Hubby and I will often share the photography, which means I get to use his posh DSLR camera (I am only allowed under supervision!).  However, I wanted to show you a selection of my favourite photo’s, which I hope will demonstrate that you don’t need a DSLR to take beautiful pictures of your little ones.

I adore using Mr Hubby’s camera, as it makes me feel like a proper photographer.  However, I must be realistic and I know I do not have to time to learn how to use it properly.  It would be a waste of technology to use it constantly on automatic.  Also I don’t think it is always possible to have such a big camera close to hand.  I rely on my phone a great deal to capture those special every day moments, that can sometimes turn out to be the best photos.  I think a great picture is a lot to do with knowing what you want from the shot.  I am sure a talented photographer could get a beautiful shot using a basic camera.  The framing, colours and subject play a huge part in creating pictures that really shine.  I hope to continue to learn more and get inspiration from others, for my future pictures.

So whether you have a high spec DSLR, use a smart phone or are taking pictures with one of the wide range of superzoom cameras available, you still can get brilliant results.
