On a recent trip to the park I was snapping away and it struck me that as our children grow up they experience inevitable changes. One being their physical appearance. While people may bear a resemblance to their childhood self, those childish features disappear. As I looked at our daughters beautiful face, I wanted to freeze time and remember her, as she is now, for a little longer. Her hair will grow, her face will change and while she will still be beautiful, she won’t have this face. Parenting is so bittersweet isn’t it? As our children grow we lose so many little things, but we gain in equal measure. If we don’t take a minute to notice, we might not even see the changes happening.
The other weekend we went to a park and Baby developed an obsession with benches. Which was a little stressful when we needed to leave, but it did mean hubby could get these shots of her.
She has so much character and I love pictures like these where that comes bursting off the page for all to see. Our exuberant little Miss.

I am so thankful to my blog for that x
Ah she does have a gorgeous happy little face. It is bittersweet how those baby features change as they grow up, those little chubby cheeks disappear and yes, those little faces are still beautiful but they are different too. So lovely to be able to capture those moments to look back on though. #whatsthestory

Thank you very much x
This is so true, I think about my kids and think that they still look the same as they did when they were little but looking back at old picture you notice little things like the less prominent ‘chipmunk’ cheeks and strong jawlines and cheekbones. It’s great we’ve got these places to keep the pictures of our kids to remind ourselves, not just of the fun we had but of how they looked as toddlers. Popping by from Magic Moments.

It’s true, their faces change so quickly. I look at photos of my little girl from when she was two, and although you can tell it is her–she looks so much more grown-up now. *sob, sob* #whatsthestory

So true about the changes! So subtle sometimes that us parents miss it. One thing that I notice that never change with her is her smile. Always there in photos ready to charm =) #whatsthestory
