Fun with Friends

Last week, we took a couple of our friends to a blogging event with us.  The event didn’t quite go to plan (more on that soon), but after we had taken the kids for a lovely lunch, I suggested we let them blow off some steam, before the journey home.

So we walked to the canal side and let them run wild!

In step

The girls really do love each other.  Enjoying holding hands and cuddling each other whenever an opportunity arises.

These photos aren’t perfect, they are not staged at all and most of them were taken with me running backwards and pretending to ‘get’ them, as they laughed their little heads off.

I just love the pure happiness in their faces.  I can still hear the giggles now, right from their belly’s.

Then they would be off again!

I love how a simple game of chase can be the highlight of the day.  We were all happy, it was good for all of our souls.

I wanted to stay there all day and look at their crazy, happy faces; so gleeful!

I adore the tender moments between them.  For the whole car journey they had been chatting away in the back of the car, like they understood everything the other was saying, it was so cute.

They have a very special bond; they make each other laugh so much and I hope they remain friends for a very long time.

A perfect ending to a less than perfect day, but running round in the sun with each other, will stay in my memory for a long time.

  1. Sounds like a day resurrected from the children’s perspective. Lovely to see Baby running around with a little friend and interacting so beautifully. At least it was a dry day for a little outdoor fun before your drive home. thank you for sharing with me on Country Kids

  3. Lovely post Aby 🙂 The girls look so happy together, what a lovely bond they must have. It’s so cute that they babble away to each other as if they completely understand one another xx

  4. Awwww …. pulling the heart strings here! So so lovely to see friendship developing and what joys you must have experienced being part of it all. Love the picture taking whilst running backwards, I wonder if I might capture a little bit more this way. To more fun with our child(ren) and their friend(s). #whatsthestory

I try to have fun with her and just snap away, sometimes not even looking in the camera. If I snap enough, I will get something I want x
