Little Chatter Box

Motherhood is full of moments that make you swell with pride.  When your little baby first rolls over, their first smiles and their first steps.  As they get older the changes seem to happen in quick succession, often with a few things developing at the same time.  I remember Baby taking a few months to find her feet, then she did nineteen steps down the landing and didn’t look back!

At the moment the area of the most rapid development is Baby’s language.  Her capacity to learn astounds me and every single day there are new words, usually a few a day. O.k, so the pronunciation isn’t always spot on, but they are words and I know what they mean; most however are crystal clear.

The joy that comes from being able to actually communicate with your child is amazing. After spending so many months trying to guess what Baby wanted, she can now tell me, simple, but fabulous all the same.

  1. I love this stage, watching them learn, seeing the understanding and fun in their eyes, the best!

  2. It is so lovely when they chatter away and you can understand what they are saying isn’t it, and the mispronunciations can be so adorable 🙂

  3. Such a gorgeous stage, it always makes me pinch myself when Alexander learns a new word or returns from nursery saying longer sentences in combinations I’ve not heard before, lovely post x
