My New Love

I really enjoy taking photos and last week I bought myself my first DSLR camera.  I was so excited and it was definitely love at first sight.  So far in my blogging journey I have used my phone, my old Bridge camera and occasionally Mr Hubby’s DSLR.  I do love the images I manage to capture, but I have wanted my own ‘proper’ camera for so long.  So I took the plunge and made the purchase. To say I am happy is an understatement.

As yet, I have no real idea of how to use it properly.  I need a few more hours in the day to read the instructions, but I think we are going to get on well. We had a little date in London last week at the Moonpig Preview Event and yesterday it accompanied Baby and I to the park.

Obviously Upsy Daisy had to come with us.  Well it is actually Upsy Daisy mark II, as three toys ventured to London last week and only two made it home.  RIP Upsy Daisy mark I!

Not sure what Baby is doing with her tongue…..

Baby has decided that she REALLY likes the slide!  She climbed up, got into position, threw Upsy Daisy down to the bottom, slid down herself, collected a rather shaken up Upsy Daisy, shouted ‘Gain’ and off she went for another turn.  Then times this by about seven!

I know I have so much to learn about the art of photography, but I love having a proper grown up camera.  I am going to really enjoy trying to develop my skill and improve my photography. Hopefully, I will capture our special moments more beautifully.

  1. Your pics already look amazing, doesn’t look like you have anything to learn to me! On a serious note, how have I missed that Little Bird mac? I’d know that print anywhere! Gorg xxx

  2. Oh you’ll never look back! A photography blog was the new venture I started this year (onegirlclicks.com). Always learning, that’s the great thing. Got a new lens yesterday and I never thought I’d be so excited 🙂 Keep at it. Your pics are lovely.

  3. Hurrah for the DSLR your photos are beautiful already! I can see this is going to be a perfect match. I carry mine on every family day out, it is like my phone, I can see you doing the same just to capture your gorgeous girl in all those lovely situations. Thank you for sharing your park fun with me on Country Kids.

  6. I’d love a DSLR but I’m terrible at taking photos so it wouldn’t be worth the cost for me! I love that rain jacket Baby is wearing. Is it clear plastic?!
