Baby adores climbing and standing on things. Even if an object only gives her half an inch more height, she still wants to stand on it.
In her bedroom she has a little kiddy step positioned by the window. Each time we go upstairs, she makes a bee-line for her vantage point. She loves looking out of the window and watching the world go by. She also likes pointing out cars, trees and cats!
For her, the added bonus of standing up there means she is half hidden behind the curtain. A game Baby has always enjoyed playing is ‘Where’s the Baby’. So after making a dart for her step and hiding herself away behind the curtain, she will be giggling away as I talk to ‘myself’ asking where the Baby has gone and saying Daddy will be so cross if I have lost the Baby. She chuckles away, occasionally she will even answer me, still believing she is completely hidden from the world. Maybe allowing herself the occasional peak!
Simple magical ordinary moments.

I remember being like baby as a young girl, however there is only the river and animals to watch most of the time here for my children. Our nearest neighbours are a mile up the road!
So sweet! I love it when my son ‘hides’ in full view, always makes me giggle x

Haha that’s so cute 🙂 My z is turning into a bit of a nosey neighbour – he keeps looking out the window and telling us all about the neighbours comings and goings!

Ha ha! He is a curtain twitcher x
Bless her, the world is so exciting at that age. I can still remember Monkey’s squeal of delight when he no longer needed a step to see properly out of the bedroom windows. He’s still a proper peeping tom! #whatsthestory

She loves it so much x
I love the way that children hide – as long as they can’t see you then you have no idea where they are

Thank you. Yes you are right x
This brings back memories of my son who loved looking out of the window when he was smaller. He still likes it now if he spots the bin truck!

The world outside is always appealing! x
Haha that last photo is just so cute! And a very good watch person she makes too. 😉 Isn’t it funny how some kids are just more prone to climbing than others? Neither of mine are particularly bothered about it- although they do like jumping on the sofa. 😉 x
