Dear Baby,
Today, my little beauty, you turn three. I am not sure that I will be able to get everything I want to say in this letter, my heart is so full of love for you that it feels ready to burst. You made me a Mummy and in doing so you made my dreams come true. I am so grateful to you for that. You are such a bright spark, you are funny and wild. There is no doubt that you keep me and your Daddy on our toes, but we wouldn’t want it any other way.

It seems so long since I last wrote to you, my plans of every six months have fallen by the wayside. Not because I don’t want to write, life has just been so busy, but Mummy will try harder. You have been going to Nursery for almost a year and after a shaky start you love it so much. You have such a lovely group of friends there which you adore. Miss Mia and Miss Lesley are almost your favourite people in the world. Nursery has brought you out of your shell even more and you have learned so many things from being there. You can count to ten in French and you love to try to teach the dogs to do the same.

You are such an active little girl and are rarely still, preferring to jog or run than walk. Mummy knows when you are ill because it is the only time you start to move more slowly and stop chattering.

Ponies are you passion, as they were Mummy’s once upon a time. You are so lucky to have two ponies to ride and cuddle. Sali and Rambo are two of your best friends and you love them so much. You are so brave and adore trotting; always wanting to go faster.

We can teach you enough, like a sponge you soak everything up and constantly surprise us with what you remember and then try to teach us. You love Team Umizoomi and we have them to thank for the fact that you can say dodecahedron. Your number skills are awesome too. You are so bright, I hope you always keep this thirst for knowledge, as it ill make your future so bright.

Ballet is another of your loves; you copy Miss Sharon intently and then show Daddy what you have learned when he gets home. You also like to teach your reindeer toys (assisted by Daddy) all the ballet moves.

Being so tall for your age, people always mistake you for an older child which stresses me out a little. I don’t want them to expect more from you than you are able to give, based on their misunderstanding. You are so happy that eventually your hair is beginning to grow. The corkscrew curls mean this is taking longer than your little friends hair. Every time you are in the bath with wet hair you ask for the mirror and tell me how much your hair has grown.

You are such a wonderful mix of a fairy princess and tomboy. Never happier than when you are sitting in a Princess dress playing with your toy cars. Your idea of heaven would be if Anna and Elsa did a cameo appearance in Blaze and the Monster Machines!
You make us laugh so much with your cheeky sense of humour. Some of my happiest times are being in stitches with you, just laughing. I would never have expected that someone so young could have so much empathy for others. Your kindness is so beautiful to see and you make me proud every day. You share so well with your friends, you always make sure they’re o.k, offering them things you think will make them feel better.

I love you with all of my heart and I am thankful every day that you are my daughter. I hope everything you wish for in your life comes true and I will do my best to help you every step of the way.
Happy birthday my darling
Lots of love from Mummy xxx

Her amazing beauty and vibrance really shine through your blog and your Instagram feed, seeing you little girl always makes me smile. My girls are almost 12 and almost 9 and I have loved watching them explore and be free spirits over the years.
