This festive period has been like no other. I adore Christmas, but never before has it been quite so eagerly awaited. This will be Baby’s third Christmas, but it feels like the first that she has really known what is going on. Gone are the days when I could buy her presents when she was with me, she now has eagle eyes that spot any sneaky purchases.

She is amazed by decorations, in awe of trees with lights and still a little unsure of the big fella himself. The biggest change is in her understanding of what happens at Christmas, the traditions, the presents and that it’s a time we all look forward to.

Although Mr Hubby and I are still working we have been trying to fit in as many festive experiences as we can for her. She has written to Santa, had breakfast with him, had fun in a huge polar express, travelled down the Thames in a speedboat to a host of Christmas songs, wandered round the winter wonderland, been an elf, a little santa, made reindeer food with singing elves and enjoyed a Christmas Carol Trail.

We have had an awesome time at her friends Christmas party singing and dancing, and soaked up the festive spirit at the Christmas market.

We have done Christmas crafting and baking; made Christmas cards and posed for Christmas pictures.

We have had such a lovely run up to Christmas; now all we have to do is wait for the big days itself. I am so excited to see her face when she sees her stocking and can’t wait to watch her walk into the living room adorned with presents.

Sounds like you have it all covered, she is such special little girl and it is obvious in all your posts on her just how blessed you feel to have this sweetheart in your lives. She always looks so happy, and curious, her happiness shines through, clearly you are a wonderful mum. Enjoy Christmas xx
