My Wild One #3

We haven’t been to the park for quite a while now and so last weekend, we decided to rectify this and we paid our local park a visit.  We used to go almost daily to one of the local parks and are really lucky that we have about six parks within a few miles of home.  However, since Baby started preschool and now also has a pony to ride, we just don’t find the time.

After preschool she is so tired that taking her to the park would be a bad move.  If you have any tips on how to manage no-napping exhausted children, please send them on a postcard! (or leave them in the comments!).

So off to the park we went and Baby wanted to wear her new ‘monster’ coat, which I thought was quite Lady Gaga!  She certainly made a statement.

I adore her ‘tongue-out’ concentration face.

She had such a ball!  Having not been there for months, Mr Hubby and I couldn’t believe how little the slide she used to love looked.  Watching her run round, cemented how much more capable she is now AND how super active she is.

She spent ages climbing up the hill and running back down to her Daddy.  I love that such simple things being such joy to all of us.  I think she would have been happy just doing this all day.

A couple of times she told me to take pictures, and I never need much encouragement on that front.  I am so glad she is happy in front of the camera, it makes capturing memories so much easier.

If I could only see one sight for the rest of my life it would be her face.

She is a proper adrenalin junky and kept wanting the swing to go higher and faster.  I have to remind myself that she isn’t even three yet, it is so hard as she is super capable and has such great language skills too.

A simple day, with such simple fun. We must make an effort to enjoy more park time.

  1. Aww, it looks like she’s having so much fun. It looks like a fab park too, we’ve got a couple within walking distance of our house but the’re both a bit rubbish. And that coat is amazing!! #mywildones

  2. Ah the photo on the swing is so beautiful! We love exploring our local parks, we are lucky to have a really good one near by 🙂 xx

  3. Oh Aby! I LOVE that her coat and shoes match! She’s so gorgeous and it looks like you’ve had a fab time 🙂

Re the no napping, post-preschool toddler… I’ve recently started having film afternoons with her and (for once) she will actually sit still for an hour or so and rest… It’s working wonders!

Thanks for linking up to #MyWildOnes xx
