One word would describe last weekend and that is WOW! We were invited to stay at Sunnycroft in Brixham, Devon by Blue Chip Holidays, to test out one property in the Baby Blue Chip collection; their special range of properties that have parents and children firmly in mind, but without compromising on luxury.
Sunnycroft is, as you can see, a beautiful large white house set on the top of the hill in the seaside town of Brixham. We have holidayed in Devon before, but have never been to Brixham, but I doubt it will be our last time as it was really beautiful. At the last minute Baby’s Aunty, who was meant to be joining us, had to stay behind; so our wonderful friends Team Snowing Indoors came with us instead.
There are two seperate gardens at Sunnycroft (can be opened into one by a door), each is very child friendly. This lovely decked area, complete with sun loungers, seating/dining area and trampoline, is at the back of the house.
I love the blue paint, so vibrant and perfect for a seaside property.
The kids loved having a trampoline at their disposal and if we had been staying longer we would have made use of the surf board, buckets and spades and fishing nets stashed outside.
At the side of the house, overlooking the sea is the other large garden complete with a playhouse and another seating area.
I don’t think I would ever tire of looking at that view, so beautiful.
Our breath was taken away inside, it was gorgeous. Beautiful decor, attention to detail and thoughtful touches everywhere.
Such a lovely surprise to be greeted by this amazing hamper, there was also a lovely bottle of wine in the fridge to welcome us.
The kitchen is fabulous, just the kind of kitchen I dream about. It contains everything you could need and more, with so many extras, even down to powered up torches, flasks and cool bags. The kitchen housed all the usual equipment such as a dishwasher and washing machine, plus special bonuses of a tumble dryer and Tassimo coffee machine.

I love the mix of the modern decor with the old fashioned aga.

The kitchen table is positioned to make the most of the awesome view. A booster seat, Bumbo and highchair were supplied in case we needed them. There is also a cot, a bottle steriliser, hand blender, video baby monitor, changing mat, pushchair and bathroom steps.
There are two living spaces, which is brilliant if you are going with another family or you want the children to have somewhere to play away from the adults relaxing space.
Books and toys were in plentiful supply, which saves you bringing lots from home. You will also find a PS3 and DVD’s for your use.
This play table and railway was a fabulous addition.
The other living space was another room to take advantage of the views and features a flatscreen TV with freeview. So beautifully decorated too.
The wifi was notably great in this house, very important for a blogger.

Up the grand staircase are two large double bedrooms, a large twin and a bunk bed room, plus a family bathroom with a huge shower. Stairgates at both the top and bottom of the stairs certainly gave us peace of mind.
The largest of the double room has this great view and such a lux feel. I can genuinely say these beds are the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in.
Much to the children’s delight there was a wall mounted tv in the room too!

The main bathroom was really lovely and I was tempted to jump in the bath and stay there for a while, but sadly we didn’t have time. There is also a small shower room/toilet on the ground floor.

A bed guard was left ready for us and all the plug sockets had guards on them, so there was no need to worry about little fingers. The twin room has zip and link beds, so could easily be made into a third double room.
The children seemed at home straight away and loved all the new toys they had to play with. Us adults loved that nothing had been forgotten about. Who doesn’t like a bit of luxury in their lives?!
They had such a wonderful time playing together; it helps that they are all as crazy as each other.
Outside there is parking for four cars, making loading and unloading easier.
Just a short walk down the hill is the town centre, so you can leave your cars at the house and explore on foot.
Brixham is such a beautiful area and I cannot imagine staying anywhere better than Sunnycroft, we had such a fabulous time. I genuinely can’t recommend Sunnycroft highly enough.

This looks amazing. I lived in Devon until last year and it is so beautiful so to see those views every day must have been fantastic. I have even had a quick peek at Blue Chip after reading this. Sorely tempted.

It looks amazing and Devon is a lovely place to visit. I’m just gutted we couldn’t find a date that worked when we were looking to go.
Gorgeous photos. I’ve never seen such a family friendly place to stay before, seems perfect. Just reading about the garden would make me want to stay, but the house is amazing too. I’ve also never been to Devon before, think I’ll have to look into going sometime! Xx

This place ticks A LOT of boxes! My husband has always wanted to take the family to Brixham after visiting it with work years ago, but we’ve yet to manage it. I think you might have inspired me to finally get it booked! Great post x

What a beautiful cottage and so well equipped for families. Brixham is a stunning place. We started our summer holiday just down the road from there and have been many times before. It’s a lovely part of the world. It looks like you had such a great time.
Oh This house is simply stunning – and in a great location too. What a lovely place for a holiday. Kaz x
This seaside property is perfect from escaping from our mundane reality and letting the ocean aura wash over you. Everything feels calmer by the seaside.
We stayed here in May and it is just amazing isn’t it – one of the most gorgeous holiday cottages I’ve been in I think, and just fantastic for kids.
