I first heard of the brand Aveeno at BritMums Live last year, when they were in the brand area. I am always trying to find a hand cream that works on my shockingly dry hands and that is not sticky or claggy. As I mentioned in my first vlog this week, I have decided to try to do more in terms of a beauty regime, especially in terms of my skin. So it was great timing when a lovely package arrived from Aveeno.
Bath & Shower Oil
Formulated with naturally active colloidal oatmeal and softening oil. Thoroughly cleanses, moisturises and conditions dry and sensitive skin.

What I thought: I love the smell of this oil, which reminds me of chocolate porridge! It felt very luxurious feeling against my skin. Immediately, I noticed a difference in the softness of my skin, which felt much more nourished.
Cream
Formulated with active colloidal oatmeal, proven to restore the skin’s natural barrier. Also suitable for babies from 3 months who may be prone to eczema.

What I thought: I was sent the 100ml tube and I wish I was sent to 500ml dispenser as this cream is the bomb! Serious the best cream I have ever used. I have been using it for a few days and I can not believe the difference in the softness of my very dry hands. As I have mentioned before I dislike the feeling of most creams and usually end up wiping them off. While this is definitely a cream (as opposed to a lotion), it absorbed quickly and immediately left my hands feeling soft, not sticky. I am going to definitely carry on using this cream, as I adore it.
Lotion
Formulated with naturally active colloidal oatmeal, this easily absorbed, non-greasy lotion relieves dry and sensitive skin. Regular use provides long-lasting protection.

What I thought: I have been using this lotion on my hands and feet at night under softening mitts/socks. Mainly as it is a bigger bottle and I wanted to make the cream go further. This lotion is lighter/thinner in texture than the cream, which you would expect. This actually makes it great for using on larger areas, such as your body. As with the other two products, I noticed a feeling in softness after a few uses and there was some difference immediately.
Meet Ellie and Eddie!
Aveeno have found that 9 out of 10 mums spend time each day dealing with their child’s eczema-prone skin. So Aveeno have teamed up with Children’s author Penelope Harper to create a series of books surrounding Ellie and Eddie, who both have dry eczema-prone skin.
