Baby’s Verdict on the New DisneyLife App

Baby loves Disney and so when we were asked to review their new digital service, the new DisneyLife app we were over the moon.

DisneyLife is a subscription service costing £9.99 per month and it’s available at www.DisneyLife.com, the App Store and Google Play. If you sign up now, you can try it for a month for free.

The app gives you access to a huge collection of Disney TV shows, movies,  music, even books!

After you have downloaded the app, you can set up different profiles for different children; meaning that their viewing is tailored to their preferences. The range of media on the app is really outstanding.

I dowloaded the app on my iPhone and also on my tablet, which Baby uses.  For those of you with android phones you can cast the programmes/media to your TV using a Chrome cast or similar technology.

The app is very easy to use, divided into sections; Character worlds, Animated favourites, Junior Boxsets, Novelisations, Mini movies, Soundtracks, TV shorts, Classics, Family Movie and Hit artists.

In the character world section you can choose your favourite animation and then you will find a wealth of information; fun facts about the characters, mini movies, music, narrated books, and more about the characters.  DisneyLife also gives you the opportunity to download  free app each month; we downloaded the Frozen one which Baby loves.

The DisneyLife app is very intuitive and easy to use.  Baby is only two and a half, yet she can find her way round the app and can also swipe across three screens on my phone to access the app herself.  To put my mind at rest there are built in parental controls, so you can set the viewing time.

Both Baby and I love DisneyLife.  I am blown away by the amount of media available and Baby loves to have access to her Disney friends wherever she goes!

  1. Oh this looks incredible, we downloaded a lot onto an iPad for use when we are out and about. Then the iPad went kaput so we are back on Disney movies on our portable DVD player. Though we love Disney films we haven’t really got into any Disney shows which is strange, all about the CBeebies…..

  2. I like the idea of this for when T is older, I find things like netflix have too many things you wouldn’t want them seeing, even with parent setting theirs still such a wide range of things you can’t check. Having something 100% Disney would give me confidence it was all suitable! Xx

  3. I love that it is purely for children and being branded as Disney will make 100% safe. As the other comments are saying we have to be careful how we expose children to shows and the internet.

  4. This sounds really clever – we’ve just a Chromecast (I think – or similar, it’s my husband’s) but it’s great to have the options for when we travel as well. My daughter is a bigger fan of CBeebies for now, along with some of the Disney filsm, but I’m sure she’ll be discovering more as she gets older.

  5. What an amazing app, I love that you have parental controls because with the way my nephew is growing up so fast he would be watching fast and furious instead of mickey lol. Lovely review

  6. This sounds like a great app. The fact that it has parental controls and yet so much content to explore! I am sure the Disney brand will not disappoint and its good to have lots of options. x

  7. I love this idea. My little man would love being able to watching some his favourite programmes and movies on the go. It’s a wonderful idea and I think good value for money. Thanks for sharing.
