berryclever kids is an online shopping experience with a difference. Aiming to make shopping more interactive by asking parents to leave tips and advice about products, to help those difficult purchasing decisions. As a parent you are exposed to so much information about what you need for your little one. The berryclever community of parents, give their honest opinions in short reviews, which could save you from buying the wrong thing and having 5 prams in the garage….. (hypothetically…obviously…)
As first time parent’s, we spent a substantial amount of money of things that just weren’t necessary. berryclever’s research found we are not alone and 91% of people surveyed admitted that they had wasted money buying the wrong products for their babies. 86% of people surveyed wanted their friend’s recommendations when making purchasing decisions.
On the berryclever website you can connect with existing friends and find new ones, while sharing the products your LOVE or find MEH. The reviews are limited to 150 characters, so they will all be to the point. This is important for busy parents who haven’t got time to waste wading through wordy reviews. The founders, Kristi Flax and Emma Kafton, are both mums themselves and wanted to build a shopping experience around recommendations. berryclever reviews are written by friends in your network, so they will be honest.
berryclever’s unique algorithm organises reviews based on a person’s social profile, so site users will always be shown the most relevant products reviewed by their friends and the people they are most similar to first.
Site users can set up lists of their recommended products, in any area they wish, ‘Child’s 1st year’, ‘Essential travel products’, wherever takes your fancy. These lists can then be shared. As well as text reviews (tips), you can also leave Pictips (photo review/video).
Payment is made by linking to the users Amazon account or the retailers website, so a purchase can be made. There is even a ‘demand a lower price’ feature and if a lower price can be found, the user will be sent an email within 48 hours confirming an offer which they can choose to either accept or decline. Perfect! What’s not to like!
