Our Picture Wall - Canvas Design review

I have the idea of creating a photo wall in our living room. I love the idea of loads of pictures, in mismatched frames together forming one piece of art. Although most of the pictures will be in frames I like the idea of a central picture being a canvas (that way it would tie in our big wedding canvas, which is on the adjoining wall).

I was recently asked to review a canvas from Canvas Design, which is a family run business based in Lancashire. Their ethos is that everyone should be able to create a bespoke canvas without it costing the earth. I was lucky enough to be able to pick any size and so I selected 20 x 14, as I thought this will be a good size as central point on our wall.

The website was easy to navigate and there is a range of photo effects that you can apply to your picture. There is a clever room view feature, so after you have selected your size you can see how it looks on the wall (and even change the wall colour!).

Prices range from £7.99 for 6″ x 6″ to £60 for 40″ x 40″ and you can even create a collage if you can’t decide on just one picture. All frames are made from pine and all canvases are 380 gsm cotton, so you can be assured of excellent quality.

My canvas was dispatched the day it was ordered and it arrived the following working day. It was very well packaged and was delivered by courier. The quality of the picture is excellent, the frame is sturdy and all the wall fixings were included.

My canvas would have been £19.99 and after doing some research into similar businesses I found out that this was a very good price. The cheapest comparison I found was £28.00. Canvas Designs also offers free 48 hour delivery.
