For the last week and a half we have been driving around in luxury. We were very kindly lent a Hyundai Santa Fe 4 x 4 and we LOVED it. Baby spent the entire time calling it the posh car and I thought she was going to cry when it was collected! It is safe to say we all loved it and here’s why.

It’s a beauty
There is no denying that the Santa Fe is a big car, however it is also a very beautiful car. The styling is awesome, complimented by a leather interior, which is useful if you have messy kids as we do! I received many admiring comments, it was certainly a head-turner.

Lots of space with easily adjustable seats
The Santa Fe comes in a 5 or 7 seat option, we tested the 7 seater. up to 516 litres of luggage capacity with the third row seats folded flat or 1,615 litres when both 2nd and 3rd row seats are down. To provide even more flexibility, the 2nd row seats slide back to provide extra leg space or slide forward to increase luggage capacity. We took it camping with us and it was perfect.
Amazing parking cameras
I have never owned a car with parking cameras before, so it’s a real novelty. These ones are fabulous and I think even Baby could park the car relying on them. They make parking in even the tightest of spots a breeze.

With a 2.2 CRDi engine it has got a good amount of power; for a big car it is quite nippy.
On-board technology
With Bluetooth® connectivity and USB connection the Santa Fe makes it easy for you to use all your compatible media devices. We really enjoyed the DAB digital radio and had a fab time listening to Absolute radio. The sat nav is touch screen and it is really easy to pop a postcode in (which we haven’t found with other new cars). The satellite navigation features TomTom Live Services which ensures you arrive at your destination as quick as possible. It also features Intelligent Stop and Go, which stops the engine when idle and starts it again when you lift off the brake, saving you money on fuel and being kinder to the environment too!

The boot opens and closes itself!
I realise that this isn’t the kind of feature that Jeremy Clarkson would highlight, but Jeremy Clarkson I am not, THE BOOT OPENS and CLOSES ITSELF! How cool is that?!

Panoramic sunroof
I love a sunroof and in this car we are not talking about any old sunroof, the Santa Fe has a panoramic sunroof that is awesome on those warm summer days.
Blind spot monitoring
Sensors alert you to anything entering your blind spots. If an object is detected, a visual alert appears on the relevant outside mirror and on the dashboard. You will hear an alert if you turn when a vehicle is detected.

Economy
Having driven big 4 x 4s before the fuel economy was pretty impressive, the stats state a combined mpg of 42.8.

There were so many features, such a cruise control, that we couldn’t test them all out in the time we had, there are lots of buttons to play with! We totally adored the Hyundai Santa Fe and if we had the funds we would seriously consider this to be our next family car. We might have to search auto trader for used ones! We genuinely couldn’t recommend this car highly enough for families, especially if they have multiple children.
Thanks so much to Hyundai, we had a ball!
Disclosure: We were lent the Santa Fe in return for an honest review.

It looks amazing! I love the parking screens, how cool is that?? And how much stuff did you take camping ha ha xx
This car looks fab! Sounds like just the sort of thing we need, we love going on adventures, take a lot of stuff with us and have loads of kids! Haha. The parking sensors would definitely be needed though because we live in a city and the parking is a nightmare. I’m still imaginary shopping for our next car… Xx
Thanks for the review. We are getting a new car very soon as part of the notability scheme for disabled people. It’s good to be able to read reviews on different cars as we prepare to choose. This sounds great. Angela from Daysinbed
