We were recently sent some kitchen goodies to review from Joseph Joseph. I am not a cook, but Mr Hubby is a great chef and can turn his hand to most things, with very few mistakes. One mishap I do remember though, was a very undercooked roast lamb (all it needed was a good vet!) and consequently we mainly stick to roast chicken now.
We were sent the Thermobaste, a 3-piece roosting and basting tool, which claims to ensure the meat stays tender and cooks evenly. This sounded just what we need to ensure a perfect roast. The Thermobaste has a leave-in meat thermometer, which provides a clear visual guide to the perfect cooking temperature. The large baster helps you to ensure that meat remains juicy. The third part of this set is a handy cleaning brush, which along with the thermometer, fits neatly inside the baster to maximise on storage space.
Our verdict: Mr Hubby used it to cook roast beef. He found the thermometer really useful, and it did mean perfect beef. However, he usually uses a spoon to baste, so he wasn’t sure how much use the baster would get. The Thermobaster is priced at £18.00.
We were also sent three of the Multi-peel peelers. The straight-bladed, julienne and serrated, each have high quality stainless steel blades, multiple added functions and easy-grip handles. The range includes two different straight-bladed peelers for everyday use, a serrated peeler for soft skinned fruit or vegetables and a julienne peeler for more specialised requirements.
All peelers come with a protective blade guard and are £8 each.
Our verdict: These are super sharp and really do make light work of peeling everything. However, for us they are a little on the expensive side.
Disclosure: We were sent these products in return for an honest review.

You lucky devil! I got the iconic Joseph Joseph chopping boards for Mother’s Day (OK, I ordered them online) but they are still in the box: I don’t want to use them; they are too pretty! Love the changes you’ve made to your header: catchy, fun 🙂

Thanks huni, I want to kind of show (using the dirty dancing line) that she is called Baby rather than she is a baby! xx
The peelers look fab, especially the julienne peeler – my children love foods that have been cut up differently so I’m sure it would be a hit with them!
