We were recently sent The LEGO movie by Suppose.com to review.
The LEGO Movie tells the story of Emmet (Chris Pratt), an average Lego character. Emmet gets mistaken for the “Special”, a person who has the key to save the world from the evil President Business. With the help of mystic Vitruvius (Morgan Freeman), a young lady called Wyldstyle (Elizabeth Banks) and Batman (Will Arnett) they fight to save the world from President Business (Will Farrell), who has plans to glue the universe together using Kragle.
The film has a U rating, but despite this it is still a funny film for us adults. I am not particularly into LEGO, but did enjoy the funny one liners.
Throughout the film there are lots of positive messages for kids; never give up; everyone is special if they believe they are, to name two.
It is a fast paced film and it does require some focus. As such, Baby at 19 months old, was too young to get the full benefit, but she did enjoy watching the characters on screen.
