This year will be my first Mother’s Day. I am really looking forward to it and I was thrilled when Spicers of Hythe contacted me to ask if I would like to be sent a hamper to enjoy. Obviously I was delighted. I received the Tea Time Tray, which is priced at £28 including VAT and delivery.
Spicers was established in 1926 by Great Grandfather Percy and has now become one of the UK’s leading hamper suppliers. Before the hamper arrived I had a look at the website and what a super website it is. Very easy to navigate and you can search for hampers by occasion, category or recipient. There are so many hampers, that you would be sure to find something to suit all tastes.
The Tea Time Tray included;
Taste Chocolate Dipped Shortbread 150g
Ahmad Strawberry Breakfast Tea 10’s
Taste Old Fashioned Rhubarb & Custard Confectionery 100g
Mrs Bridges Raspberry & Redcurrant Preserve 113g
Radfords Chocolate & Caramel West Country Fudge 113g
Farmhouse Rolled Oat Fruit Flapjacks 150g
Divine Fairtrade White Chocolate Bar 100g
All the goodies arrived in a lovely wicker basket, encased in pretty red bow. The basket is lined, so makes a lovely storage basket when you have eaten all the goodies. There was a great selection of treats. For me the highlights were the Fair Trade white chocolate and the yummy Farmhouse rolled oat fruit flapjacks. Mr Hubby was impressed with the Rhubarb and custard sweets, which were a blast from the past.
Baby also enjoyed the flapjacks!
I would recommend Spicers of Hythe for anyone looking for this type of present or even as a lovely treat for themselves.
The only things that would have made the experience better for me, would be to include ‘normal’ tea, but I am a Northern girl that can’t cope without my builders brew! Also I love shortbread, but dislike dark chocolate (as is included in this particular hamper).
You Baby Me Mummy rating: 8/10 (but it really is just a matter of personal taste). The customer service, delivery, packaging and quality of products were all excellent.
Disclosure: I was sent this hamper free of charge, but all opinions are my own and are 100% honest.

I love a hamper especially one with sweet things in it. I always like reusing the basket again afterwards too.

I would, like notes, emails, texts! 🙂 x
Now I love a hamper – especially one picked by someone else – it’s a pure treat, exactly not the sort of thing I’d ever buy myself so I love the opulence of having one given me!
