Plus Size Dresses from Pink Clove

There are many places to buy plus size clothes on the high street.  However, I have found that some brands just make the smaller designs bigger.  So the cut and design isn’t always the most flattering for the plus size lady.  Pink Clove is different, they cater specifically for ladies size 16-32, so their extensive range is designed to flatter the fuller figure.

All their pieces are influenced by catwalk trends; featuring waist-cinching wrap dresses, super-soft jersey pieces and full skater skirts.

I was lucky to be sent three dresses and I was extra lucky to have one of my best friends, super talented photographer Em take all these pictures of me. I felt like a proper model!

Black Maxi 2

First up was this gorgeous Birdie Bardot frill maxi dress, which is described as the ultimate curve flatterer!  I must admit I did feel good in this dress. It is cut from super soft heavy weight jersey and is fab for days or evenings.  It could be worn completely off the shoulder, but I had trouble getting it to stay down (I must have big shoulders) and it was finished with a thin black belt.  In my opinion a total snip too at £26.00.

Then in true model style, it was time for a quick change into frock number two!

Like a lot of larger ladies I don’t like my arms, so I was drawn to this lovely Kylie Kimono sleeved dress.  I just love the Kimono style, it covers up all the bits I want it to!  The wrap around design is flattering, drawing attention to your waist and the tie gives the illusion of a smaller waist, creating an hour glass shape.  The woven fabric, skims without clinging to make you feel really confident.  It also comes in a bright orange.  Such an incredible value dress at only £22.00.

Time for my last change, into the dress I was least comfortable in.  Nothing to do with the dress itself, but I am not very brave with style and so orange is a stretch for me.  I also feel that I need to lose a bit of weight before I would be comfortable to wear it again, but here goes!

Orange dress 1

This Perla keyhole dress is made from stretch smooth woven fabric.  The split sleeves give you a little coverage and the keyhole neckline is a lovely feature.  It does hang really well, but one thing to bear in mind is that I am 5ft 10 (in heels taller!) and it was on the floor.  I love this length, as I often find things are not long enough for me.  At £25.00 it is another great value dress, which really does look the part.

I love all these dresses and will definitely be shopping at Pink Clove in the future.

  7. I love the off the shoulder one at the top. I am seriously thinking of buying it for myself for when we go on holiday in November, I never do dresses as I struggle with getting the right fit though.

  9. I will have to recommend this site to boyfriends mum. She’s always struggling to find the right dress and this site looks to have some really beautiful pieces.

  10. You look fab! I’d automatically go for the black dresses, but the colour of the orange one is gorgeous and really suits you. It’d be too long for me though, I’m only 5’4″” – I’d be cleaning the floor as I walked!!

  15. I like all three dresses but I have to say you look fantastic in orange, it is a great colour for you. It makes your skin glow and your eyes sparkle. I f you feel the dress is a bit full-on have you thought about accessorising one of the black dresses with an orange bag just to have a hit of colour.
