Statement Children’s Furniture From Houseology

The fabulous Home and Interiors brand Houseology recently sent Baby a statement Vitra Eames Elephant Stool to add some excitement to her bedroom.  Let’s face it you can’t get much more exciting than having an elephant in your bedroom!.

This is not just an Elephant stool, but an Elephant stool with history.  First created by the Eames brothers in 1945, as a plywood sculpture.  This prototype never made it into production, until Swiss furniture icons Vitra came up with this 21st century version.

This stool really is a beautiful piece of furniture, practical, yet so much fun. Baby couldn’t give believe her eyes when she saw him grazing in the front garden.

Made from durable polypropylene plastic, the wonderful Elephant is made to last.  At £172.80 it isn’t a cheap seating option, but I’m sure that was never the intention.   It is a statement piece of furniture, a talking point and a modern day heirloom.  It will last long enough for it to be passed down from child to child, many times over.

He can be used outdoors or indoors, as a handy extra seat or simply as a beautiful decorative object for the younger children to grow into.

Our Elephant is ice grey, but he is also available in white or pink.  As you can see Baby had great fun with her elephant, who at the moment spends the days in the garden (when the weather is nice!) and the evenings in Baby’s bedroom to keep her company.

I think this stool would make a fabulous addition to bedrooms, gardens and playrooms alike.  Although this Elephant is out of our usual budget, I really do love it and so does Baby.

Disclosure: We were sent this stool in return for an honest review.

  3. Oh I love this, it’s nice to have something different for Baby but like you said, it’s not something we would usually be able to afford xx

  4. That’s a lovely piece of furniture and I had a quick look at the same which all looks gorgeous. Although sadly, for me too, slightly outta my price range!
