Well March is nearly at an end, so it is time to share any of your achievements for this month. We are always quick to celebrate our children’s achievements, but we seem to gloss over our own. This linky promotes us giving ourselves a pat on the back too!

My challenge for March was to make Baby’s first birthday cake. I picked this amazing cake to try and replicate.
So far I have found recipes, picked flavours, sourced tins and worked out the baking timings and a schedule of the baking, crumb coating and icing. I start baking today, so wish me luck! I should add I have never iced or decorated any cake before…
I will be back with my results before this linky closes on 31st March (at midnight).
UPDATE! : Here is a photo of what I ( and my wonderful friend S who helped me decorate) achieved.
Three layers with Vanilla on the bottom, then a middle layer of chocolate and a top hat of sticky toffee cake with caramel cream. Very yummy! I am very pleased with our interpretation of the original cake.
My April challenge is to learn how to edit photo’s with photo shop.
