Dream Room Makeover

If you could have a dream makeover any room in your house, which would you choose?  Bizarrely, I would choose the room that is actually in need of a makeover least of all, Baby’s bedroom.  When she moved into her new bedroom about a year ago, we decorated her new room for her and I actually really love it. However, we are talking about dream makeovers here and who deserves a dream makeover more than a little girl?

There are plenty of rooms in our house that could do with a bit of magic being sprinkled on them, but I can just see Baby’s face if she opened her bedroom door to a dream room!

Bed – Ana White

Baby would adore this bed.  I love the idea of different levels within the room and of having a bed, that is so much more than just a bed; a place to have adventures! Neither Mr Hubby nor I are very ‘handy’, so we would need to get help from skilled professionals, like the tradespeople from Rated People, who have a wide variety of skills, from builders, carpenters, electricians and plumbers to cleaners and tree surgeons!  In our house we could actually use all of these people and also a good old fashioned handyman wouldn’t go amiss either!

You often hear horror stories about people being let down by tradespeople or about them not doing the job as discussed; so it is great that through Rated People you can find quality tradespeople local to you and you can check their references online (left by other customers) before you hire them. So you are hiring in confidence, knowing you have selected the right tradesperson for your job.

Can you imagine your little ones face if they found this wonderful swing in their room!  I know Baby would be over the moon, who wouldn’t be, it’s not every child that have a swing in their bedroom now is it?!  If I am honest, I probably wouldn’t mind it in my room either.

I just love the idea of Baby’s bedroom being magical and unlike a usual bedroom; to be a place where her imagination can run away with her.  There are so many wonderful things that you can do with a child’s bedroom if you have the skill or can hire people with the skill.

If you could have a dream makeover on any room in your house, which would you chose?  What would you do?

  1. Hmmm, that’s a tough choice. I think (like you) I’d choose the baby’s room. It’s massive and I don’t really maximise it’s space. I once saw a kids bedroom that had a wardrobe in it and you go through it to an entire new room. I would love that!

  2. I just moved house and I’m doing what I can to create a little haven for myself with a little touch of magic! I know what you mean about a child’s bedroom being a place of magic. Anything that inspires them to use their imagination is a plus. I would have loved a bed like the one in the first picture… I think I still would.

  3. Is it a sign of being a mum that we would all choose our children’s rooms?! Like you say, just seeing their little faces light up when they saw it would be brilliant, and just knowing how exciting it would be for them growing up with an amazing room. That bed is brilliant! Just gorgeous! x

  4. Pure sign of a mammy but I would choose the children’s room. I would make over Hailey’s room as she is always into something new so I think I would make her room more of a blank canvas and atleast then she could change her mind as often as she likes and I wouldn’t have to keep updating her room. I would still like to keep some pink though lol!x

  5. Ohhh man thats a tough one! I think I would choose our master medroom. I really need to make it cozier to help my sleeping havits lately. However that swing would be super awesome in our playroom!!!

  6. The boys would LOVE that bed. They share a King size bed at the moment because they chose to sleep together and we thought it would be comfier for them… They’d ditch each other in a heartbeat for this though haha! H 🙂

  7. That bedroom inspiration for baby is amazing! What a magical place to play & sleep. My kids rooms could do with a make over, they are still set up the same as when they were born.

  8. My little girl’s bedroom would also be the room we would decorate first. At the moment it is still very much baby-aimed, but she is just over 3 years old now. She is definitely old enough for a more girlie room. I love the picture of the bed you posted – gives me a bit of inspiration 🙂

  9. I would pick my 2 older sons room as the babies room is already a marvel. I would love to have one of those swings for myself, never mind the kiddies haha

  10. I really love that bed, you are right, its magical. And very cosy too.

But what I’d give for one of those swings in my own bedroom!

  11. I love your baby swing and the bedroom looks so picturesque like something out of a children’s storybook so magical!
