We do very little in our garden over the winter. The swing seat is put in the shed, the sides come of the trampoline and the cover goes on. We still go outside in the winter, enjoying splashing in puddles and getting our fill of fresh air, but we tend not to do much in our own garden. The last few weeks, as the weather has started to improve, we have started doing a little bit of tidying. Over the last week the swing has been made fully functional and I wrestled with the trampoline sides too, to get it safe for bouncing.

I asked Baby on Saturday morning what she wanted to do that day, as Mr Hubby was at work all weekend and all she wanted to do was play in the garden. So we did! She had such fun on her trampoline and it brought back memories of when she could barely stand on one. I remember being at Em’s house and Annie holding her up, bouncing with her; it seems like a life time ago, as if it wasn’t even the same child.

She adores pretty flowers, so after a good spell of bouncing we went shopping and got her a little gardening set, which is adorable. She was given a crate with her name on it a while ago, so we bought a selection of flowers to go in it. All the way home she was so looking forward to transferring them to her planter.
We positioned it in her special garden and got to work planting all the beautiful flowers. She then gave them a good watering and we have our fingers firmly crossed that we don’t forget they’re there! Mr Hubby and I have really bad form when it comes to keeping anything green alive. She told me she is really looking forward to looking after her flowers and watching them grow.

We still have a few bits to do, we are getting our shed replaced as part of a blog project and I would like some comfortable chairs that I can work on, but it is coming together and I just adore how at home she is outside; just like me when I was younger.
