We were recently sent an Ingenuity Baby Base 2 in 1 seat to review and I was really looking forward to finding out what made it so ingenious!
My first impressions of the seat were really good. I liked the sleek design and the bright white colour, with a lovely Aqua padded insert. I could see straight away that the seat was excellent quality.
One of my favourite things about this seat is that the tray slides into the bottom when it is not in use. Genius! I wish more children’s products were designed with this sort of forethought. We all know how much ‘stuff’ our children accumulate, so anything which tidies things away and reduces the bulk, is a winner for me. When needed the tray simply slides out, then slides into holes at the top and with a click the tray is secure. It cannot be removed by the child, but simply pressing two buttons at the same time will release it.
The seat has a 3-point safety harness, which is adjustable to ensure a comfy fit. The idea is that the seat can be used on the floor or as a booster seat. as it is very simple to attach it to a chair. One of the additional straps goes round the back of the chair and the other underneath. These straps are also fully adjustable, to make it safe to use on a wide range of chairs.
The tray is neat with a separate drink holder. Baby loved this and spent some time putting all her raisins in there, then taking them out again!
The padded seat insert is removable to help cleaning, but also to accommodate older or larger children.
Baby was very happy in the seat and even asked to sit in it. As we are tight on space in our house, I am seriously considering getting rid of her high chair (which doesn’t fold down!) and using this instead.

Wow it looks good! We have the Bumbo chair which looks pretty similar but it doesn’t strap to the chair so isn’t suitable for use like this one. I’m quite keen to try one instead of a highchair! xx #triedandtestedtuesday
