Word of the Week #30

It’s Friday, so it’s time to link up with the lovely Jocelyn from The Reading Residence and decide on my Word of the Week #WotW.

This week has been a bit strange, apart from some bad teething moments, it has been quite good and yet I have felt quite low at times.  In an attempt to shake off the blues we have done lots of;

WOTW

We have played in the garden; exploring her new space and her new paddling pool.  We have taken a bike ride to our fabulous local playground, had a couple of drives out to explore some new parks and had fun with our friends at the big park in town.

WOTW

I love that a simple trip to the playground is such a great event for Baby.  It reminds me to cherish the everyday things, that you can take for granted.  She gets such joy from running around, swinging, spinning and climbing.  She even met the most wonderful dog, who she didn’t want to leave.  She loves speaking to strangers, which teaches me to be braver.

I love watching her take in all these experiences.  How she gets braver the more she grows.  Watching her interactions with the children she meets, the unashamed confidence and joy that only the smallest people have.

So what have you been up to this week?  Which word would sum it up?

Enjoy my posts? Why not

  1. Looks like she had loads of fun 🙂 It’s great how a simple park is so fun for them! My little one could sit on the swing for absolutely ages and his smiles still as big as when he first got on! #binkylinky

  5. Great word, I think as adults we don’t do enough playing and make the mistake of thinking it’s just for kids. More play, more fun for everybody, makes life worth living.

  9. Aww I agree that such simple things make little ones so happy! I took mine to an expensive play centre the other week which was rubbish and I actually just wished I’d gone to the park. The Kids would’ve been just as happy and I’d saved a ton of money!!

  11. Playing is what we are constantly doing too in our household. From the most simple things to going out to the playground and having a blast. This weather is really giving. Making playing more fun and more enjoyable to my kids and obviously to your as well =) #wotw

  12. Such a cute post. We were at the big park this weekend – it’s quite nice there on a sunny day isn’t it. I find babies and children brilliant for pushing the bravery boundaries too. Xx
