I am a day late with linking up with the lovely Jocelyn from The Reading Residence to share my Word of the Week #WotW, as I am hosting Mums’ List for Hannah over at Mums’ Days and that goes live on Friday’s. Come and list up any post in list format!
This week my word is
I don’t like being negative on my blog, but this week has been shocking! Baby has been extremely difficult and I have found it quite hard to cope with her at times. I think it is a combination of a few things, but I have never known her to be like this before. Her molars are making an appearance, which seems to be upsetting her and she is getting so frustrated not being able to say what she wants. This results in her screaming and shouting. Her sleep has been really interrupted, therefore ours has too! We went out for a couple of day trips and had to leave both early, as I couldn’t deal with it anymore. She has been missing naps and is so extremely active, that she ends up utterly exhausted, but determined to carry on trying to ‘do’ things. Her defiance is something to behold at times. She is tenacious to the point of obsession, which makes for an exhausting time for all of us.
I imagine her behaviour is linked to her developmental stages or maybe it is the terrible two’s seven months early!
On Thursday I woke up in agony, with a bad back and so spent the whole day stranded on the couch, a little bit spaced out on painkillers. Poor Mr Hubby had to stay at home and look after Baby, as I was having trouble getting around.
So roll on the weekend, Baby’s Aunty is coming to stay and I am determined that it WILL be a good weekend.
Which word would sum up your week?
Enjoy my posts? Why not
Why not check out my previous words.

That does sound like a stressful week. My son gets like this, and it is really hard, without the added stress of a bad back. it will be a phase, and it must be frustrating for them, but yes, it’s soo hard! I am with you 😉 Thanks for sharing with #WotW x

Oh dear, sorry to read it’s been a hard week. Ozzy has been a bit stressy this week too – I think the summer hols are all too much for him now, he needs a rest me thinks!
Hope your weekend is a happier one x
Hoping the weekend goes as you hoped.
It’s awful when they’re not themselves isn’t it? Especially when it’s so out of character.
Hope you’re having a fun weekend x x

It is horrible when nothing you do makes the situation better xx
My eldest luckily never had the terrible twos (just going through terrible threes!) but my youngest started them at about 14 months old! Hope she eases up a bit for you, but remember, it will pass!

I am focusing on that! 🙂 x
I hope this week proves to be much better for your back and for baby x
Having just spent 10 days with my younger sisters, I can only imagine what it must be like, I was lucky I could walk away at the end of the day and leave it to my dad and step-mum to deal with.
Sorry it’s been a stressful week, hoping this week will be better x
I remember when my wisdom teeth came through and thinking that no wonder babies get in such a state when they are teething! The problem with children is that once you think you have cracked a routine they go and change it! I hope the weekend is better for you and your back improves.

Thanks so much x
There are bad weeks and it will get easier once the speech comes in a lot more. I admire you for saying you are finding it tough. Parenting is sometimes. On the plus side, sounds like you have a supportive husband and family
Hope next week is much better

Thanks, me too 🙂 x
molars can make the most passive baby / child turn into a monster – Eliza really suffered and now sebby is too – get a soft toothbrush and apply bonjela on it and let baby put it in her mouth as she will find the spot that is hurting! Hope she gets through it soon xx

Thanks hun. I will try that today, fingers crossed! xx
Molars are murder, I’m not surprised she’s a little grouchy. I hope they come through quickly and she’s back to her old self soon.
