Silentnight Design a Bed Competition + £50 #Giveaway

This post is a bit of a double whammy!  If you are a blogger you can enter Silentnight’s wonderful ‘Design a Bed’ competition.  If you are not a blogger, then you can use the rafflecopter below to enter the giveaway for your chance to win a £50 Marks & Spencer gift card and the trademark Silentnight cuddly hippo!  What’s not to love!

First up, the blogger competition, which is great fun!  The idea is that you work with your children to help them design their dream bed.  The winning design will win a new mattress from the Healthy Growth range.  If your littlies are very small it is o.k to help them A LOT.  I consulted Baby and found out all the things that she would love in her ‘dream bed’.  Then together we created a *rough* sketch of this bed.

We would have a ball pit mattress and a balloon headboard.  Instead of a ladder, she would get in from a trampoline.  Attached to the foot of the bed would be a bubble machine, because you can NEVER have enough bubbles.  One side of the bed would be a water wall, complete with pump to create lots more bubbles.  So this is Baby’s Dream Bed, what things would be in your child’s dream bed?

Disclosure: I have not been compensated for running this giveaway.

  1. Enough space for my baby and my 5 your old to snuggle comfortably, as they somehow always end up sneaking in at night. Specially during these cold times.

  2. hmmm I’d like a duvet that doesn’t leave a cold gap in the middle of the bed, and stays up around my neck and shoulders all night!

  3. A massive mattress made out of strawberry scented marshmallows! Then me, the wife and little one can bounce and jump around!

  4. A water supply. Every time I wake up in the middle of the night because I am thirsty, I always completly wake up on the way to the tap. I can never get back to sleep. Also, I think installing a water supply is actually easier than me remembering to simply take a glass of water to bed.

  5. My dream bed for my daughter would be as soft as soft can be, have a raising top end so when she has snuffles she can easily be propped up, it would also have a draw at the end so I can store extra blankets.

  6. It would have a clone of me in it, so that clone could get up for the day instead of me..no one would ever know!! lol

  7. my cat Arwin started sleeping on my legs three years ago and now i can’t sleep if she is not on them ha ha
so it would have to be Arwin cat!!!

  8. A control panel for the radio, the tv, the curtains – and the kettle in the kitchen so it would be boiled when I came down.

  9. A temperature control pad. Heat you when you are cold – cool you when you are hot, constantly throughout the night for a perfect sleep.

  10. A warm duvet, adjustable electric blanket with a warm setting for feet (mine freeze) and lovely sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers.

  11. A feature that when the kids wake up in the middle of the night, puts them back to bed for you and lets you have a night of undisturbed sleep
