What Does Home Mean To You?

I recently heard about a blogger competition organised by Principality and it really stuck a chord with me.  They simply asked;

What Does Home Mean To You?

The reason for it striking a chord, is that home is really important to me.  I suppose I have always been a homebody and home is somewhere that I feel safe and loved.  Since becoming a Mum, this has changed a little.  The picture of home in my head has been drawn away from the bricks and mortar, now being more strongly focused on the people. For without my husband and Baby, where we live would simply not feel like home.

We were asked to design an image to show what home means to us.  I am not a designer or gifted in Powerpoint, so entering this competition will probably be futile.  However, I wanted to share an image that I created which sums up perfectly what ‘home’ means to me.

Home is wherever you are

So how could my design include anything other than pictures of my gorgeous Baby.  Without whom our lives and our home would be empty.  These feelings will be tested when in 20 months time we move our family and our ‘home’ to France to start a new life.  I am sure that with my little family by my side our french house will feel like a ‘home’ in no time at all.

Disclosure: This is my entry to the Principality Blogger Competition.

  1. I totally agree, home isn’t home with out the noise and love of our loved ones.
