Baby will turn one in a little over a month, so we need to start thinking about her presents. As with her Christmas present (we bought her a wooden swing). I would like our gift to be something that will endure the test of time. Maybe she won’t get the full benefit right now, but something that she will love in the future. I tried to think back to what I would have loved when I was little and I remembered wishing for a playhouse. I love this idea! We have room on the patio, I could make her little curtains and we could put flower pots round the outside. What more could a little girl want?!
I have done some online research, as we haven’t got endless funds we need to shop around. I found these beautiful children’s playhouses.

Our perfect playhouse
Needless to say numbers 4 and 5 are not on my radar! I would never believe that anyone would spend £52,000 on a playhouse. When I was 20 I bought a house (a REAL house) and it cost me £33,000! Anyway I thought I would include them to show the range on offer and because I simply couldn’t believe it.
I think we will probably go for number 2 or 8. They are in our budget and I think we could make either of them very special for Baby, so it is a gift that she will love for a long time to come.
Would you consider spending £52,000 on your child’s playhouse!?

They’re incredible! We have a plastic summer house for boys but I would adore a proper wooden one two you’re considering are really reasonable priced – I never thought iy was possible to get one for under about £300 so I think we will look into it!

I wouldn’t spend that much, but I know someone who has! Ours was under £100 but 6yo loved it when she was smaller

I definitely wouldn’t spend that amount on a playhouse! If you do decide to buy one of the more reasonably priced ones then I suggest you paint it in a protective paint and make sure it is correctly mounted on the ground. When we moved into this house there was a playhouse in the garden but it was so rotten and full of splinters as the roof felt hadn’t been repaired and it hadn’t ever been painted to protect the wood. It had also ben placed straight on the ground so the floor had started to rot. They are lovely in the Summer but don’t forget to take care of it over the Winter so that it lasts x

We used to have a playhouse from when the boys were 18 months till last year, when I had to remove it as they were using it to jump over the fence!

That was almost 17 years ago, but it was a lovely 2 bed terrace in Cheshire. I should never have sold it x
£52k? HAHAHAHA. No. Actually I don’t event like that one much. We’re more old school in our playhouse tastes, so would probably pick number 8 at a very reasonable £159.99 😀

We have a plastic play house (with slide!) from eBay which the boys love and use every day in the Spring/Summer. Chops loved the shutters on the windows last year when he was just one (open. close. open. “peeepo! hahahaha!” close. open. repeat), so your little girl will love it 🙂

I don’t think there are many budget ones (not under £150), especially not if you want a wooden one, which we do. Apart from the couple of cheaper ones have highlighted that we are interested in that is. Second hand is the way to go, but they will go very quickly I think x
Number 4 is hilarious! Even if I had millions, I wouldn’t fork out for that. Those children on the steps terrify me – they loo as though they want you to join their cult!

Oh my word, some of those prices are incredible! We had a playhouse when our kids were little. We bought it second-hand and then sold it when they didn’t want it any more. It was lovely and much played in!

50k on a treehouse! wowzers. I used to work with someone who made tree houses bespoke for people, some of his creations were amazing.

Personally I would go for number 2 will last much longer as the legs on the others may rot or become unstable quicker.
We paid £19k for our house 15 years ago, about 5 years later my parents paid more for a holiday caravan lol

I always wanted a tree house as a kid, I do like the stripy white and blue one it makes me think of the beach 🙂
