Baby has form, when it comes the fear of giant sized versions of her favourite characters. We had an unfortunate Iggle Piggle incident, forever etched in our memories. However, when we were invited to a meet and greet with Peppa Pig, I thought she might enjoy it. Months have passed since we last tried to introduce her to a gargantuan character, surely she will be o.k fine with it now?……
As we stood in the queue at The Oracle Shopping Centre, Reading. I pictured the following scene…… Baby would rush up to Peppa and would be so transfixed by the walking bacon sandwich, that we would be unable to tear her away…..

Who was I kidding….. Cue Western duel music
After the initial stand-off the reality set in and this my friends was…
She wailed, she howled and would not look Peppa in the eye; clinging to me as if her life depended on it. Needless to say we weren’t there long. Our friends, well our friends had the dream.
Look at D’s happy smiling face. One day it WILL be us.
Does your child have an irrational hatred of over-sized cartoon characters? Or are you too living the dream?
Disclosure: We received free entry to meet Peppa and a shopping voucher.

It was VERY large x
Oh Aby I have the funniest picture of JJ sat on the same bench as a giant Peppa – only he’s squeezed himself as far away as possible while his two friends cuddled up to her down the other end (this was aged 3 when I took him on the Peppa Express!). He’s definitely always been that kid that got freaked out by big furry characters (it also happened with an Iggle Puggle at a summer fete!). Thanks so much for joining up to#thetruthabout Xx

Thanks huni, it was a case of trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear! 🙂 x
Oh, bless Baby! I love the dream vs the reality photographs. She looks terrified. We had a very similar reaction from Little Miss H when we took her to meet Santa Claus. I think Santa may have needed therapy after to recover. A great post lovely. Hugs Mrs H xxxx
