Gratitude List #31

Gratitude

I love the process of writing a weekly gratitude list, as it ensures I consciously take in the small, but lovely things that happen every day.  Then, they are immortalized here on the page, so I will always remember.

This week I have loved;

  • Hubby being at home longer than expected.
  • Baby stealing my car keys and running round pointing at my keyring saying Baby (there is a picture of her on it).
  • Organising our house (not all of it, but I have made a start).  See what I have been up to here.
  • Watching Baby run round soft play like Bambi on ice!
  • Focusing on the new year ahead with weight loss and blogging.
  • Catching up with lovely friends.
  • Getting excited about our first family holiday to Bluestone Wales at the end of the month.
  • My new dress, which wouldn’t have suited me before I lost weight, but does now!
  • A little shopping trip with my SIL and Baby.  Baby did well for new clothes….ooops!…
  • I think I have found a reliable dog sitter, who would look after my dogs at her house. Which, as an owner of stressed rescue dogs that probably won’t eat in kennels, is going to be a blessing. Meaning we are free to go on a worry free holiday.

So what are you grateful for this week?

  1. Lots of lovely things to be grateful for. My two always seem to end up with new clothes on shopping trips too and Baby running off with your car keys and pointing to her picture sounds adorable. Hope you have a good weekend 🙂 #HappyDaysLinky

This week I am grateful that I watched my Dad decorate when we were younger. Made me decorating this week much easier!

  4. What a lovely list! Such joy to watch our children do things we wouldn’t have paid attention to, and always lovely to have hubby around for longer than expected. I hope more pleasant things await you this week. #52weeksofgratitude

  5. I do love your gratitude lists! They’re full of the unexpected happy moments that it would otherwise be so easy to forget in the hustle and bustle of life.

I saw the picture of your new dress on Instagram and it’s lovely! Well done on your amazing weight loss.

Oh and you must be so relieved at finding a reliable dog sitter. We have two spaniels, one of whom caught kennel cough while we were on our honeymoon and I’ve never forgiven myself. Since then we’ve always used a home based dog sitting service.

  6. Lovely idea of gratitude list! I should have start one as there is always something to be grateful for and often in a rush of daily tasks we forget about them 🙂

  7. I completely understand the relief of finding somebody to look after your dog. When we moved to a different part of the country we were worried about finding somebody to take care of Heidi (our mini schnauzer) when we go away but we found a lovely lady who has her at her house – so she gets spoilt rotten and it’s like a home away from home for Heidi. 🙂

Fab list Aby, thanks for linking up with #TheHappyDaysLinky!

Thanks huni. The lady is lovely and they will live in a downstairs room with patio doors onto an enclosed yard – perfect for my little ladies. Such a relief x
