There are 77 days until Christmas…. yikes! I still have lots everything still to do. I love Christmas, but I struggle to remember childhood Christmases. My dad was very ill when I was little and I seem to have lost the majority of my memories.
When we decided to try for a baby, I was so excited that I would get to experience Christmas through the eyes of a child and as a parent. As time progressed and we failed to get pregnant, I felt this dream was slipping away. Finally, we did get our happy ending and Baby was born in March 2013, last year being her first Christmas. I have experienced thirty seven Christmases so far and last year was my favourite by far!
We went to Christmas parties, I made Baby her Christmas stockings, a plate for Santa and reindeer dust.
We decorated our tree with lots of special trinkets, that we will add to each year.
We bought lots of presents and we couldn’t wait to see her face when she saw them all! We spent it, as always, with Baby’s Aunty and Uncle. Baby’s Aunty is an amazing cook and kept us in Turkey and sausages wrapped in bacon.
Christmas 2013 was truly magical for all of us. I can’t wait to see if this Christmas will be ever better.
I have written this post as an entry for the Transun Lapland competition to win a trip to Lapland to see Santa!

Your Christmas looks like fun. We too only started to celebrate Christmas after we had kids. Hope you win your trip to Lapland and are able to take your baby there.
I’m so, so happy you got your gorgeous Baby after so long. I’m so excited about Toby’s first Christmas, it’s lovely seeing your pictures from last year and reading how special it was. Baby looked like she loved it!xx

Thank you so much hun, we were truly blessed xx
You cant beat Christmas with kids, I think I get as excited as they do! My Dad was just as bad- I remember him waking me up when I was 15 because he wanted me to come and see if Father Christmas had been…..he may have been disappointed with my less than enthusiastic response!

I love Christmas! Last year, little man was only 7 months and didnt really get it. He’ll be 19 months this time and hoping he will be a little more fun. On the other hand, we will have a 5 month old too. I love Christmas pre-parenthood and I can only imagine how much fun the next few years willbe :)))

I *refuse* to think about Christmas before the end of October. Usually stores are quite restrained but this year we’ve had Xmas trees up already in Marks and a few other shops. I like the traditional aspects of Christmas and for me, it only starts on Christmas Eve!
Oh the delight on her face is adorable x
What lovely pictures and your baby looks so cute and happy.I hope you win the trip to Lap land.
I have found since having children the excitement and magic of Christmas has returned to that of when I was a child. Trust me it gets better, this year will be my eldest so fourth Christmas, each one has been fabulous.
It looks like a lovely Christmas – I can’t believe there are only 77 days – eeek!! Good luck with the competition – we went to Lapland last year and loved it!
