I blog because I truly love it. I feel there are times when it saves me. Although I blog about my family, blogging is MY thing. It is time that allows me to go into my own world and write about things that interest me, upset me, make me laugh or things I love. I started simply to document our lives, but it has grown. I am flattered that people actually read it and take the time to comment. I never expected that. I have developed a real sense of pride about my blog and have an increasing desire to improve and develop my skills. Whilst continuing to tell our story truthfully.
The MAD Blog Awards recognises parent bloggers and is a very big deal to most bloggers, with over 150,000 votes cast last year. There are various categories from ‘Best Writer’ to ‘Best New Blog’. To be nominated would be amazing, but being relatively new to the blogging world and being against some amazing writers, I think it will remain a pipe dream. However, if you read blogs and love peering through the window into these blogger’s lives, I encourage you to vote and help to give these talented writers the recognition they deserve.
There are so many brilliant blogs around, although they all blog for love, a nomination would make their day #HelpABlogger.

Good luck. I wish there were more of these kind of things for bloggers who don’t have parenting blogs, Maybe there are and I just haven’t found them yet. I wish you lots of luck.
