We could all use more kindness in our lives. I love the idea of random acts of kindness, something simple that puts a smile on someone’s face, even someone you don’t know. I came across Kate’s blog Crafts on Sea and saw a great post that she had written on paying it forward. Kate’s idea was to send a small gift to the first five people to comment on her post. At some point in the future a small gift will arrive to brighten up their day. In return each person receiving a gift has to promise to pay it forward and commit to doing the same on their blog for another five people. A brilliant way to spread happiness and think of others. I agreed to join in and ‘pay it forward’.
O.k so this is the information. I’m participating in the ‘Pay-It-Forward’ Kindness initiative: the first 5 people who comment on this post with “I’m in” will receive a small gift from me at some point in this calendar year. It could be anything I think you may like and it will be a complete surprise. You won’t know when it will arrive. One day your day will be a little bit brighter.
These 5 people must make the same offer in their blog or FB status for non-bloggers. So let’s do more nice things for each other in 2014, without any reason other than to raise a smile and to show that we think of each other. Let’s make 2014 filled with kindness.
So if you’d like to get a pressie from me, maybe some a postcard, something tasty, a trinket or something completely different! Comment below saying “I’m in” and then be ready to do the same yourself. Giving to others simply because it’s a nice thing to do.
