I love the process of writing a weekly gratitude list, as it ensures I consciously take in the small, but lovely things that happen every day. Then, they are immortalized here on the page, so I will always remember.
This week I have loved;
- Cuddling with Baby in bed on Sunday morning.
- Baby trotting for the first time without me holding on to her.
- So many lovely comments about my photos.
- Our new Instagram community #LittleFierceOnes. I love that people are sharing images of their fearless, beautiful children on our hashtag.
- Friends who pick me up when I am low.
- We had a lovely walk and photoshoot on the common with Baby, she was awesome.
- How much Baby loved dressing up for preschool this week.
- Losing 5lb and 6.5″ (from 3 measurements combined) on my first week back on the wagon!
- Being asked to be a contributor to a photo project I love.
- Having my photo featured in the Tots100 photography roundup post.

As a new mum (baby 12 days old today!!) its the cuddles and the smiles I am finding to be the most beautiful things (even at 3am in the morning!) for which I am very grateful for. Plus my husband’s never ceasing efforts to keep the house tidy and me well fed and watered throughout the day. Stopping to reflect on how much is wonderful about this time has been a useful exercise, as it can all feel a bit much at times!! Thank you for the inspiration.
