When I was younger my ideal night would be clubbing with friends; all getting ready together and partying the night away. The years have passed and so has any desire I have to do this again! I am well and truly settled into middle age! (well almost!). My ideal night these days is definitely a night in.
A lot, actually MOST of you, will probably think what I am about to say is a bit sad, but I am going to share with you my perfect night in anyway. First things first, I need to be comfortable, so some comfy new PJ or joggers and a hoody, plus big snuggly slippers, tick! I told you I was a bit sad…. Now the entertainment for the evening would be a Strictly/X Factor double whammy (o.k, so they usually clash, but in this ideal world they wouldn’t). I can’t think of anything better to watch than people prance around head to toe in sparkles!
What would we be eating? Well that is a tough one. It would be a toss up between a chinese takeaway or a lovely roast dinner. I would then end the evening by snuggling up in a blanket and reading a book, maybe nursing a glass of Baileys or a Chai latte depending on my mood.
Even if you still enjoy your nights on the town, the colder darker winter nights will probably be encouraging you to stay at home and have more nights in too.
