Vogue’s 73 Questions

Have you heard about Vogue’s 73 questions? If not, then a quick You Tube search will reveal lots of celebrities answering 73 questions.  Simple really! My personal favourite is Sarah Jessica Parker, I adore her!

I was recently tagged by my wonderful friend over at Mrs Hs Favourite Things to have a go myself. So here goes!

 

1. What’s your favourite movie?

Pretty Woman.  Sophistication all the way here!

2. Favourite movie in the past five years?

Magic Mike!

3. Favourite Hitchcock film?

I have never seen one, I hate psychological thrillers, my nerves can’t take it.

4. A book you plan on reading?

Hands Free Mama, it is on my Kindle waiting.  I just need time!

5. A book that you read in school that positively shaped you?

Lord of the Flies

6. Favourite TV show that’s currently on?

I love Googlebox

7. On a scale of one to ten how excited are you about life right now?

It is a really strange time for us at the moment, but I would say 7.

8. iPhone or Android?

Android, but I have never had a iPhone so I could be persuaded to change my mind.  (hear that Apple!)

9. Twitter or Instagram?

I love Twitter and spend a lot of time there, but Instagram is such a happy place.

10. Who should EVERYONE be following right now?

11. What’s your favourite food?

Chinese or ice cream.

12. Least favourite food?

Tuna, the smell *shudder*

13. What do you love on your pizza?

Meat (don’t mind what sort), mushrooms, onions, sweetcorn.

14. Favourite drink?

Tea, a good old fashioned milky builders brew.

15. Favourite dessert?

Ice cream, but I also love creme brulee and cheesecake (can’t think why I am overweight…)

16. Dark chocolate or milk chocolate?

Milk

17. Coffee or tea?

Tea obviously!  I can’t bear the smell of coffee.

18. What’s the hardest part about being a mum?

I think being pulled about and hurt by your child.  They are just learning, but some days all these little knocks build up and I find them difficult to deal with.

19. What’s your favourite band?

This is so hard as I love music, I would say Snow Patrol (or Panic at the Disco…)

20. Favourite solo artist?

Ed Sheeran (or Passenger..)

21. Favourite song?

Snow Patrol – If I lie here.

22. If you could sing a duet with anyone, who would it be?

Ed Sheeran.

23. If you could master one instrument, what would it be?

Guitar.

24. If you had a tattoo, where would it be?

The underside of my wrist and it would be something for my daughter.

25. To be or not to be?

To be.

26. Dogs or cats?

Dogs.

27. Bird-watching or whale-watching?

Whale-watching, that would be awesome.

28. Best gift you’ve ever received?

My daughter.

29. Best gift you’ve ever given?

My daughter, bet you didn’t see that one coming!

30. Last gift you gave a friend?

I sent Hannah from Mum’s Days a little chalk board for her birthday.

31. What’s your favourite board game?

Monopoly.

32. What’s your favourite country to visit?

I have only been abroad three times!

33. What’s the last country you visited?

Ireland on honeymoon in 2006.

34. What country do you wish to visit?

America

35. What’s your favourite colour?

Teal.

36. Least favourite colour?

Beige.

37. Diamonds or pearls?

Diamonds.

38. Heels or flats?

I love heels, but flats are now the order of the day.

39. Pilates or yoga?

I always feel like yoga does more for you, but my back can’t cope with it, so pilates.

40. Jogging or swimming?

Swimming

41. Best way to de-stress?

Glass of wine and mindless TV.

42. If you had one superpower, what would it be?

To heal people.

43. What’s the weirdest word in the English language?

Onomatopoeia

44. What’s your favourite flower?

Lily

45. When was the last time you cried?

A couple of weeks ago, when Baby threw an epic tantrum in a shop (although I did wait until I was back in the car).

46. Do you like your handwriting?

No, someone I used to work with said it looked like a spider crawled all over the page.

47. Do you bake?

Yes I love baking (hate cooking).

48. What is your least favourite thing about yourself?

I am too sensitive.

49. What is your most favourite thing about yourself?

I am fiercely loyal to my friends.

50. Who do you miss most?

My horse, Oz, who had to be put to sleep a few years ago.

51. What are you listening to right now?

The sound of Baby’s breathing monitor.

52. Favourite smell?

Horses

Doctor’s receptionist

My friend Sharon, asking her a baking question.

I wish I could ice skate properly.

Mid brownish…?

Blue

Happy endings all the way.  Ha ha!

59. Favourite season?

I love the expectancy of Spring.

60. Three people alive or dead that you would like to have dinner with?

My Dad (as he died when I was 10, so I would like to meet him properly), Kurt Cobain and Channing Tatum.

61. Hugs or kisses?

Hugs

62. Rolling Stones or the Beatles?

Rolling Stones.

63. Where were you born?

Davenham, Cheshire.

64. What is the farthest you have been from home?

Greece.

65. Sweet or savoury?

Both!

66. Lipstick or lip gloss?

Lipstick, my hair always gets stuck in lip gloss.

67. What book have you read again and again?

I have never read a book twice.

68. Favourite bedtime story?

We don’t do a bedtime story in our routine.  We read in the afternoon.

69. What would be the title of your autobiography?

“She gave it a good go!”

70. Favourite sound?

My daughter when she is laughing hysterically.

71. Favourite animal?

Horses.

  1. I LOVE these!! It’s such a great way to really get an insight into our blogging friends! Pretty Woman is on my top 10 list of films… it may even be number one. One things for sure, I can quote all of the dialogue, much to everyone’s annoyance!!

  3. LOVE Vogue’s questions, SJP’s is my favourite, VB’s felt a little forced (although still loved it)-adored reading yours, so cool you rode horses, sorry about your horse though. Love Googlebox too and Pretty Woman, I was nodding along to this, we have a lot in common. Fab post x

  6. What a great way to find out more about you Aby. Teal is one of my favourite colours too and I love Chinese food. Haven’t seen Pretty Woman in a long, long time – now I want to dig it out and watch it again – great choice! 🙂

      Yes her clothes are awesome, I want to wear a Dior T and a tutu, and not look like some weird homeless bag lady 🙂 x

  11. This is 73 questions thing is the equivalent of riffling through a bloggers drawers…love it. Just want to reassure you I’m not actually going to riffle through your drawers, that would be weird and stalker like, but you know metaphorically getting the inside scoop.

  13. I don’t know which film I know more of the script of – Pretty Woman or Four Weddings and a Funeral! I also love Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps. It’s not scary like some of his other films but has been changed quite a bit from the original book.
