Welcome to my weigh in!
Details of all my previous weigh ins are here if you want a little look. This week started on Christmas Eve and so I knew it would be a challenge!
I am so dedicated to this plan and to changing my life through weight loss, but I also wanted to experience some festive food. Christmas just isn’t Christmas, without pigs in blankets! Right?!
Dieting at Christmas
So my plan was to have a little festive food and stick to Diet Chef the rest of the time. This went a little awry as I was faced with family, restaurants and takeaways. While this wasn’t my plan, I didn’t go completely crazy and in the end I was off Diet Chef for four days. Leaving three days to rectify the situation.
Once my head was back in the game I was fine. It is always a challenge to ‘be good’ when your family is tucking into a Domino’s! However, I have my eye’s set firmly on the future and on achieving my goals, so I am not going to let a slice of Pizza stand in my way! The yummy food would make me feel good for about 10 seconds after I had eaten it; losing weight will make me feel better for a lot longer than that.
This week’s vital statistics
Weight lost
+1lb (total -39lb in 12 weeks)
Total inches lost (across 10 measurements)
-2 ” (total -49.5″ in 12 weeks)
So for the first time since I started Diet Chef I gained, just one pound, but I was a bit gutted. Then I reminded myself that this tiny gain is probably the smallest amount I have ever gained over Christmas. So I pulled myself together and focused on continuing my success in future weeks and I did lose another 2 inches!
Here’s to 2015 and to reaching my target!
The programme I am on would cost £8.75 per day. However, if you order a 12 week supply this daily cost reduces to £6.61 (this is for all three meals and a snack).
It is worth checking out the Diet Chef website, as they often have really fab deals.
Disclosure: I am being sent Diet Chef hampers in order to review the programme. All opinions are 100% honest and are my own.

This is such a great post to read! I know that you were anxious about festive food beforehand and I think you did amazingly well! Well done! Reading your journey is really making me want to do diet chef – I’m just worried about the money whilst I am on maternity. X

I haven’t been to weigh in for 3 weeks now I am DREADING going next Thursday. I woudn’t say I have stuck to plan as well as you have, it has been a pretty hectic few weeks, but I am hoping to get back on track this week!! 1lb on over Christmas is not bad at all 🙂

Thanks hun. I hope your weigh in goes better than expected x
Aby, that’s an amazing achievement. I gained 4.5lb in 4 days off plan. It was as if my brain switched off and told my hands that everything I ate was calorie free!
You’re doing so well, can’t wait to see you in that swanky skinny dress in June xx

Thanks huni, I’m sure your will come off quickly. We are both doing well and will both be in awesome dresses at BritMums 🙂 xx
To only put on 1lb over Christmas is fab, I think I probably gained more than that despite spending Christmas with my tiny appetite-food paranoid in laws! I’ve avoided the scales recently because I know they won’t give me good news!
