I don’t know about your kids, but Baby has a lot of toys. When we are out and about, I always seem to be tempted to buy her a little something. Last week we met our friends Z and D, who we haven’t seen for a couple of weeks and it reminded me that none of this ‘stuff’ is really that important. What really matters is friends and having fun together. I mentioned to Baby in the morning that we would be seeing D after lunch, which with hindsight was a gross error on my part, as she spent every couple of minutes throughout the morning asking for D! I won’t be making that mistake again. I have blogged before about Baby’s special relationship with D, and it gets stronger as time goes on. As soon a Baby saw her gorgeous little friend, her face lit up and they couldn’t wait to get playing.
We wandered over to the park before letting them out of their prams and as soon as we did they were in their element. No toys, no need for presents, just each other.
They ran around, chased each other, hugged, squealed.
They rolled around in the grass and laughed hysterically.
We eventually made it across to the playground, where they explored, never leaving each others side.
They are both as crazy as each other, which means life is never dull.
Their friendship is special, nothing extra is needed for them to have a ball, just each other. I hope their friendship endures the test of time. They love each other, that much is plain to see. There are not many people who hug you until you fall over, is there?! Only a special kid of friend.

This is so precious! I think a friendship that lovely & that early is definitely going to stand the test of time. They look so happy. It must absolutely melt your heart to see them playing together like that. Adorable!

Aw what gorgeous happy photos Aby. And you are right, good old fashioned fun is so much more important than stuff. Sometimes I realise that we have got through the day and not played with any toys- but that’s because we have been out all morning and then in the afternoon they sleep! x
