Actimel Back To School Event & Yoga Challenge

A couple of weeks ago Baby and I were invited to London to take part in the Actimel back to school event.  Baby will be heading back to preschool and some of the other kids would be going to school for the first time.

The idea behind the event was to show how Actimel for Kids can help your kids get back into school mode.  In addition to the yummy Actimel, we had a morning of energising yoga and mindfulness to help re-focus our children.

First, we were treated to a delicious healthy breakfast, this fab spread was waiting for us.

Actimel for Kids is an easy and delicious way for you to get essential nutrients into your kids’ daily routine as part of a balanced diet.  Soon to be available in new glowing monster and hero bottles, Actimel for Kids is packed with billions of L.casei live cultures and essential nutrients such as calcium and vitamin D, making it perfect for breakfast, lunch or as an after school snack.  Baby is really fussy and I seriously doubted she would even try Actimel, but she did and she had seconds!

BreakfastShe then took an extraordinary amount of time putting jam on a piece of toast and had no intention of actually eating it!

After breakfast it was time for yoga.  I was a little worried whether Baby’s attention span would work for yoga, but she did remarkably well.  A lovely yoga expert taught us some basic kid friendly moves, that would help to focus our little ones and hopefully result in calmer kids.

Baby loved the breathing ball, copying her little friend Grace carrying out some of the poses.

After a while (as you can see from her little face) tiredness kicked in and she went a bit bonkers.

The Actimel Nutrionist described a balanced plate and got the children involved by getting them to guess which categories the food fell into, then jumping in the appropriate coloured hula hoop.

Baby didn’t quite grasp the concept of the task and just wanted to hula!

Then it was time to make smoothies!

The kids had a great time picking what they wanted to include and then watching the ingredients being blended.

Baby chose to put Actimel in her smoothie, but you could add natural yogurt or fruit juice instead.

Then it was time to practice mindfulness and relaxation.  Baby has hit the wall and much preferred to build towers……

and dance!

Thanks Actimel for this great event, it certainly gave us lots to think about and we shall try to introduce some yoga into our morning routine.

Disclosure: We were invited to this event and our expenses were covered.
