Mode Tea Party

There are some days that I am so grateful to be a blogger, last Friday was one such day.  I recently signed to the fabulous Mode Media and I had received an invitation to afternoon tea with Mode.  How exciting!  Never one to turn down cake (although I have been VERY good recently since starting with Diet Chef), I readily accepted and booked my train to the big smoke!

Leaving Baby with Mr Hubby, for a daddy daughter day, I set off to The Langham Hotel on Regent Street.  Wow, it is such an incredible building!

Mode Media (formally Glam Media) are a vertical media company with more than 4,000 website and blogs.  Mode handle the advertising on my blog, plus other brand collaborations.

So back to the cake!  The Langham is just as amazing inside as out; I headed  up the marble staircase thinking I must have been really good in a former life for this to be ‘work’!

After finding the Barouche Ballroom, I was met by the lovely Debbie Bird who is Mode’s Family Editor,  who I immediately felt like I had known for years. She introduced me to some other bloggers, Rosemary, Bethanie and Sarah, before we took our seats to begin….eating!

I don’t think I have ever seen such pretty food.  It was *almost* too beautiful to eat.  Simply perfection; cake and endless cups of tea (as I had to drive for part of my journey), for the others there was Champagne!

We ate, chatted and some of us did a piece to camera about our blogs.  I always love meeting other bloggers and talking shop, so I was in my element.  I have even made plans to meet up with the fabulous Rosemary again.

Then I had the pleasure of talking to some brands, which was a lovely way to get to know each other, in such a relaxed environment.  Before I knew it, it was 3pm and time to head to the tube with our Mode goody bags, to start the journey home.

I would just like to thank Mode and The Langham for a wonderful afternoon, I only wish every Friday afternoon was like this!

Do you like afternoon tea?

  2. It certainly was a lovely way to end the week being forced to eat cakes, sip tea and chat with like minded, lovely people just like you. Great to connect with you and other Mode bloggers. Looking forward to mulling life as a blogger over with you soon 🙂
