Baby’s Bank Holiday Fashion (House of Fraser Review)

If you have read my blog before, you will know I LOVE children’s fashion.  I spend so much more time and effort on Baby’s wardrobe, than on my own and I adore putting together new outfits for her.  So when House of Fraser offered us £50 to spend on their children’s clothes for the bank holiday, we jumped at the chance.

There is so much choice on their website that, it did take me quite a while to make a selection.  Baby is so tall and she is growing super fast, so I wanted to order 2-3 years to ensure she would get wear out of the pieces.  This is what I ordered.

name it Denim Dress was £19, now £11.40, name it Classic Knitted Cardigan was £11 now £6.60, Toby Tiger Organic T-Shirts (2 Pack) £19.99, Polarn O Pyret kids socks (3 pack) was £9.00, now £7.20

I love denim dresses and this one is a light weight denim, so it will be really easy to wear.  I plan for it to be worn on the remainder of the warm days with socks and then with tights over the winter.  I bought a yellow cardigan a few months ago and Baby has had so much wear out of it, so I popped this one on the list.  Which will brighten up the cold winter days to come!  I like dressing Baby in strong colours, so picked up this two pack of organic cotton T-Shirts.  I love the elbow patches!  I finished the look off with these bright, bold socks, as we never seem to have enough socks in our house!  The total order came to just under £50.

I popped Baby in the outfit over the weekend and we headed out to a local village fayre.

Baby was transfixed by the Owls and on a couple of occasions tried to get in the tent with them!  She was really comfortable in the outfit and I really liked the overall look.  Perfect for the changeable weather we are experiencing of late.

House of fraser 4The ice cream man even gave her a free ice cream, so she must have looked cute!  There was lots of twirling in her new dress and she was brave enough to have a go on the bouncy castle.

She even took Daddy back to show him the Owls again.  There was a small animal area and Baby loved sitting next to the chickens, watching them peck around.

I have never shopped for Baby’s clothes in House of Fraser.  I thought they would all be designer, with high end prices attached.  This post shows that this is not the case.  I love this outfit and the pieces are very reasonable, even without the sale!  I will definitely be shopping there again for Baby.

Disclosure: We were sent £50 of clothes in order to be able to write this post.  All thoughts and opinions are 100% and are my own.

  2. Loving your colour choices – that yellow cardy is super-cheerful – just what we need at the moment with all this odd weather!

  4. Love the yellow cardigan, yellow is not a colour I would automatically pick to dress my daughter in, but that loosk really really lovely especially with the demin!

  5. lovely clothes and I’m really surprised at how cheap they were. I always expect House of Frasier to be much more pricey. Love the yellow cardi too.

Thanks for linking up to MMWBH over on In My Bubble this week!

  6. I had to buy in the next size up for all of mine as they’re all on the tall side. One tip though – don’t bother getting trousers long enough to fit for a long time; they’ll wear out at the knees way before they become too short in the leg.
