BEAR Alphabites Cereal Review - You Baby Me Mummy

Baby has an obsession. It is a word we hear probably about a million times a day….. Yoyo. Baby is obsessed with BEAR’s fruit Yoyo’s and strangely Yoyo was one of the first words she said! I kid you not!

So when BEAR asked us to review their Alphabites to celebrate the launch of monster magnets Alphabites boxes, we agreed. I wondered if Baby would like all things BEAR…?

What a fab touch for our blog name to be spelled out in Monster magnets inside the box. I tried to put the magnets on the fridge, but Baby was VERY interested by them and kept trying to steal them! Each box of cereal comes with a set of four monster magnets, so you can collect the whole alphabet of characters. We were also sent some lovely craft materials, so we could make our own monster on the Monster maker sheet they provided. Baby is still a little young for this, but I have put it away for her until she gets a little older.

We received BEAR Alphabites in multigrain and cocoa multigrain varieties. Both are free from salt and refined sugars, so they are a healthier alternative to lots of children’s cereals on the market. They also have a very special ingredient, coconut blossom nectar, which is found in the flowers of coconut trees and provides a great source of calcium. It is also low GI, so will prevent sugar highs and crashes.

Now, Baby is a fussy eater and I am continually trying to get her to eat a full meal. She is improving, but can still be quite a challenge.

I wasn’t hugely hopeful that she would even try the cereal. Breakfast is always the trickiest meal for us with her. I gave her a bowl with cereal and milk and left her to it. I usually find her natural curiosity will get the better of her and it did. So much so, she ate the whole bowl full! It was there for that long, peaking her interest that the milk had gone chocolatey, which I think helped in the yummy stakes.
