We all love books and we love reading to Baby. As members of the Parragon Book Buddies team, we get sent a lovely book to review each month. We are always excited to see what will pop through the letterbox.
This month we were sent a very exciting book, Glitterbelle: The Sparkliest Princess Ever.
‘Glitterbelle’ is a series of creative children’s books with stories, activities and lots more. Glitterbelle is a modern-day princess who is smart and funny. She loves playing on her scooter or climbing trees with her friends Angel and Dazzlina. She loves her parents and adores her pet dog, Bob. Although Glitterbelle has lots of pretty princess dresses, she is a bit of a tom boy and prefers wearing leggings and her glittery trainers!
Like many little boys and girls Glitterbelle will not eat her peas. The King and Queen try to persuade her to eat them, as all parent’s do! The book follows Glitterbelle as she tries to discover a love of the little green veg.
Aimed at children aged 6+, so it was a bit too complex for Baby. She wanted to turn the page before I had finished reading it, I guess this means she enjoyed the illustrations. It is such a pretty book, with very unique illustrations. It is definitely one we will put away and bring it out again when she is a little older.
Written by Rachael Duckett and illustrated beautifully by Harriet Muncaster, obviously with added glitter!
In the series;
Glitterbelle: The Sparkliest Princess Ever!, a colourful picture book
Glitterbelle: Me and You, a fill-in journal with a special Glitterbelle touch
Glitterbelle: Doodle, Dazzle, Create!, a fun and creative activity book
Glitterbelle: Dazzling Dress-Up, a dress-up sticker activity book for the aspiring fashionista.
This book costs £5.99
