I love wearing heels, they make you feel more polished and feminine. However, a damaged back means that heels can be quite painful for me, so I seem to live in flats mainly for comfort. I was invited to a Hotter shop recently to have a look at the styles and to meet the lovely PR team. Baby and I had a great time at the shop in Winchester. I was so surprised at how modern some of the styles were. I must admit I had a preconception that Hotter was a shop catering to ladies of my mum’s age, not mine. I was wrong; there were so many shoes and boots that I wanted to take home.
I chose these gorgeous plum Donna heels, which come in a luxurious suede. Softly cushioned and naturally breathable, the Donna is a high cut slip on shoe with a really flexible sole. The lining is a pretty floral fabric, which is very pretty. The front of the shoe has quite an open design, giving a little extra room for even more comfort.
It has a breathable leather insole with pyramid technology cushioning, with flexi grooves in the sole. Hotter shoes all have Pyramind technology hidden deep inside the sole, this is a pyramid shaped foam pad which contracts and traps air as you walk, acting as a cushion to the balls of your feet. They also have pillow soft underheel cushioning; clever features like padded insoles, collars and tongues, make for a super comfortable experience. For someone who has suffered from burning balls of my feel in heels, this was music to my ears.
I have size 9 feet and was so happy to discover that Hotter offer sizes 3 to 9 including half sizes and a range of width fittings from narrow to extra wide to ensure you find the perfect fit.
I adore the wintery tone of this plum, perfect for this time of year and the heel, while giving you a bit of extra height is quite chunky, but beautifully shaped.
These shoes are so versatile. I wore them with a dress and long cosy cardy, but the possibilities are endless. They would be great with a dress for the evening, or with jeans out shopping.
The best part? My feet didn’t hurt at all! I will definitely be buying from Hotter again.
A huge thanks to my awesome friend Em for taking all of these pictures for me.
Disclosure: I was gifted these shoes. All opinions are my own.

Ooh these look so nice! I love low heels as well because I’m already quite tall (and also it hurts to be in 5 inch heels all day, let’s be real!). They really compliment your outfit in this photo – great find!
I have awkward feet that make wearing heels rather painful. These look lovely, Aby, so I shall give Hotter a try! xx
Oh i love the style of these shoes Aby and they look so flattering on you. I too suffer with back problems and live in flats, so the low heel on these is really appealing to me and it’s great to hear your feedback on them! xxx
Love the shoes! Especially the cute bows – I also love the fact that they are comfy & soft on the inside. I wish all heels were like that! x
They sound so comfortable, and look gorgeous. They look so lovely on you. I’ve never shopped at Hotter, it’s not a place I think so ever look. I never wear heels either x
I love the colour of these shoes they are gorgeous!! I like the fact that the heel isn’t too high as well and that they have cushioning :). Hope they enjoy a night out on the town soon x
These look fab on you! I love the colour. It’s so good they do half sizes. I really struggle to find shoes that fit because I’m a 5 1/2 usually xx
I am sorry to hear about your back how long have you suffered with back problems. I have back problems too but I am very naughty and still wear high heels! I love the plum shade very on trend.
since having little J I have been unable to wear a heeled shoe 🙁 these actually look comfortable though and I love the colour
