Lamaze toy review -Win your story made into a book

‘Purring Percival Lamaze Toy’

We were recently asked to review a Lamaze toy and we were very glad to help.  One of Baby’s first toys was Sir Prance-a-lot from the Lamaze range and she loves him so much.  We also have Freddie the Firefly and Kerry the Fairy!

I am a big fan of Lamaze for the quality of the toys they produce.  I can rest easy knowing that they will be safe, well made and provide sensory stimulation.

We received the Purring Percival toy and here are our thoughts;

  • Lots of bright colours, which are great for sensory stimulation and useful for holding the child’s attention.
  • There are lots of different textures on the toy, which are fun for babies to explore.
  • He makes a purring sound when he is moved side to side. Babies can learn cause and effect and it provides further sensory stimulation.
  • We love the large plastic link clip, great for attaching to pram, highchair etc.  Reduces the risk of the lost toy scenario!
  • Useful bead teether attached.
  • Textured ribbon tags, ideal for sucking!
  • Great quality materials used, resulting in a well made (sturdy) toy.

Baby took to him straight away and seemed to enjoy the noise he makes.  The teething ring was also a hit as she has some big molars coming through at the moment, poor little lamb.

So our verdict is very positive.  We wouldn’t hesitate to purchase further toys from the Lamaze range.

Lamaze are running a great competition at the moment.  Simply submit a story you have written about one of the Lamaze toys featured and you can win your story made into a Lamaze book.  Why not check it out here.

  1. My younger daughter adopted her older sister’s Lamaze blankie many moons ago 😉 she’s 6 and still manages to love it about the same amount! I blame the tags! ;p
    But seriously, completely agree that they making lasting, quality products for children that can be passed on (to several children) before they see the bin. x

  2. We LOVE Lamaze… Sir Prance a Lot was a part of our crew, along with Jacques the (naughty, apparently) peacock. We have about seven others and when the baby is here we’ll be looking for a new one!
