Camp Bestival – Get your camp on!

Camp Bestival : Lulworth Castle Dorset – 31st July-3rd August

In our ‘Life before Baby’ Mr Hubby and I loved going to Festivals.  When Baby was born we knew that we wanted her to experience one of these fabulous weekends.  We decided on Camp Bestival (2014), as it offers such a lot for children to do and there would be lots of other families there too.  We had started planning our weekend and then various concerns took over.  Baby still has some unresolved tummy problems and I am suffering quite badly with SPD, so we decided that we should put off our visit until next year.

The lovely people at Camp Bestival heard about us delaying our trip and have asked us to be official bloggers for the 2015 festival!  We are so happy and already can’t wait.

Obviously, we are gutted that we will be missing all the fun at this years event.  It really is a wonderland of activities for the little ones.  There are literally too many to mention, but we would have loved the face painting, soft play tent and sand pit (as Baby would have been 16 months old).  There will also be various workshops including Baby Massage & Yoga, Kidi Zumba (sounds amazing!), Minky Moos and Diddi Dance! (my mind is officially blown!).  I think she would have also enjoyed the Medieval Jousting (o.k. may be that’s what I would have loved).

Mr Tumble is set to entertain the masses and children can also experience Theatre, Comedy and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 50th Birthday takeover.

The list is literally huge.  We certainly would have wanted to Pimp Our Trolley!

Now that’s just the kids.  For the adults there are the usual bands, this year Basement Jaxx, De La Soul and James are among the list of live acts.

Maybe you are worried about camping?

Camp Bestival has extensive camping options, unlike the festivals we used to go to.  These options range from, standard camping in the main field to boutique style camping in Yurts, Gypsy Caravans, Cloud houses, Motor homes, to name a few.  Camping plus allows camping pitches to be reserved, so your friends are guaranteed to be close by.  Hot showers and compostable non smelly toilets! (definitely not like festivals I have experienced before!).

So I hope those of you who are going this year have lots of fun and if you haven’t yet bought your tickets, you can get them here.

We will be counting down the days until next years Camp Bestival.

  3. This looks amazing! I would love to go to a festival but they don’t make provisions for wheelchairs so I can’t go. I’ve asked and asked but every one says the same. Glad you all had a super time at bestival 🙂
