I am as blind as a bat and have worn my multifocal contact lenses since I was 11. I used to ride a lot and glasses just aren’t comfortable when you are wearing a riding hat. I wear my lenses far beyond the recommended hours each day and never have a day off; my poor eyes! I was asked to review a pair of prescription glasses from GlassesShop.com, so I thought I would be kind to my eyes and order a pair.
I found my recent prescription and measured my pupillary distance (well Mr Hubby did), which was really easy. Then browsed the website, where there were so many frames to choose from. I have always stuck to rectangular frames, so I thought I would try something completely different. I love a bit of geek chic and so picked these Dupont frames.
I found it a little tricky to figure out what might suit me, without being able to try them on. However, there is a little tool on the site that allows you to upload a picture of yourself and then pop your choices on, which gives you a rough idea.
The delivery was really quick and they arrived in a hard case, with a cleaning cloth. The glasses were $39.95 (rrp $129) and this price includes anti-scratch coating on the lenses. For £26.96 you can’t really go wrong! The frame quality is great and they really are no different to the frames I would buy from a high street optician.
Highly recommended and I would definitely use the GlassesShop again for future purchases. They also offer Sunglasses.
Disclosure: I was sent these glasses in return for an honest review.
