My new look blog! Thanks to Make Life Beautiful/Ellie All at Sea

I started blogging to have a place to record our family life, so that we wouldn’t forget the small seemingly inconsequential moments, that actually matter the most.  I began to really enjoy it and now after only just over 5 months it has developed into something much more.  I write about a broader range of subjects, work with brands and take part in lots of link ups and features.  I started to realise that my bodged header and mismatched avatars were not that professional.  I longed for a design that reflected our family and for a cohesive look across all my social media.

I started to look at pre-made packages on Etsy, that were quite expensive, but I didn’t really have a budget.  I have always loved the designs of Helen Braid the wonderfully creative lady behind Make Life Beautiful/Ellie All at Sea.  Helen is a Graphic Designer with 14 years of experience.  She offers a wide range of design and illustration for any project.  I assumed the cost of her designs would be way out of my league, but I crossed my fingers and sent her an email.  Helen responded really quickly and I was so surprised when she quoted £90 for a header, co-ordinating background, avatar and uploading if required.  So I said yes before she could change her mind!

As I didn’t have a strong idea of what I wanted, Helen said she would look through my blog and figure out what represented us.

The proof came through in just over a week.  I was amazed how Helen captured us and after one small tweak it was all done.  Helen uploaded it for me and my new blog was born!
